The verses are probably RoL throwback. A GOOD THING.

This is a victory for equality & diversity. Only Brexiteers, Trump supporters and RACISTS would hate this.

The key thing is- it actually sounds like a Madonna Record. She’s properly done what she’s good at- taken someone else’s heritage and STOLEN IT WHOLESALE!

    The best line is obviously

“We built a cartel just for love...”

Walking home from work with a 6 day break, I'm almost ready to declare it very good

I'll stick with 8/10 for now

I've never doubted she can deliver a MOMENT

A whole album is another matter.

I know I keep saying this but I considered Rebel Heart a return to form (somewhat), so I have no reason not to be optimistic about Madame X.

Actually that's not even true - we ALL KNOW she CAN deliver a GREAT album if she wants to. It's just that she seems to have little idea what her strengths are.

Absolutely. The good bits of “Rebel Heart” were just overshadowed by the dross-y bits

It's a lot more laid-back and "mellow" than I thought it would be -- which is a good thing, really. Not really keen on the "Ven Conmigo" chorus but in terms of picking up a certain genre + male collaborator(s) and running with it as a lead single it's doing 5 times the job "4 Minutes" did.

    Oh this is FANTASTIC

She clearly should have given dear old Mirwaïs a call back YEARS ago :disco:

What it has in spades over the recent collaborations (Timberlake, Pharrell, Diplo, etc.) is that he's a (VERY GOOD) feature and adding lots but yet it's still totally HER song.

    About time MADONNA LOUISE!

I'd agree with it being her strongest lead since Hung Up. By a considerable distance.

It’s a shame she couldn’t have gotten this together a year ago when SHE was in Portugal and EUROVISION was in Portugal, and she was making Latin music.

Agreed. I'd rate it above the corking "4 Minutes" for the reasons I said above: she sounds like guest on her own track on that. NOT here, baby, not HERE.

It certainly sounds like a way FORWARD for her.

That said, Janet did it better.

Mm I’m not getting it really, hope it’s a grower

It’s fine though, and doesn’t sound like she’s ripping off a current sound in the way Hard Candy did.

Anyway, hoping to like it more soon

The good bits of Rebel Heart are just that - GOOD.

This is ANOTHER LEVEL entirely :disco:
