Apart from NEW KING OF POP Peter Andre, what a boring week for the charts.

That Calvin Harris song is dreadful. I got the appeal of I'm Not Alone, but it's not ACTUALLY 1992 anymore...

If that was a typo it might be amazing. I know Dementieva was sampled in a rap song.

I quite like the new Calvin Harris song, but much like the BEP's, it is completely meaningless unless you hear it on a Friday/Saturday night.

I just do not get I Gotta Feeling

I lived for Boom Boom Pow and would go as far as to call it song of the year but this is just not working for me

'I Gotta Feeling' feels quite unlike anything they've released before, in that it's deliberately commercial, rather than coincidentally. It's an OBVIOUS crowd-pleaser, I don't really think there's much to "get" at all. It just depends if you like that sort of thing.

There's something intrinsically odd about seeing the albums of your own youth undergo the deluxe 20th anniversary treatment. I preferred Inspiral Carpets myself. Still do.

I love it. Will they be the first act to return to #1 with consecutive #1s?

    He produced it!
It's just way too repetitive for me...doesn't really go anywhere. :(

The opening repetitive synth is the sample from 'Love Is Gone'.

As much as the Peter Andre thing MYSTIFIES me, I do find it a little annoying how the fact that it's 29p on amazon is widely a story in the media and being attributed for its success. It is the only new release at that price on amazon, but it's certainly not the only current single on the charts at 29p. And it's #4 on the iTunes chart at exactly the same price as everything else, where I assume it is selling a lot more downloads than amazon.

The appeal of I Gotta Feeling is basically when you're out or whatever and you say to yourself "I got a feeling woo-hoo that tonight's gonna be a good night."

I hope Calvin gets the number 1. Black Eyed Peas have already been there and it's simply greedy to stay at the top ;-)

How far apart are they sales-wise?

But the Calvin song is just rubbish, I can see I'm Not Alone's appeal but this doesn't seem #1 material.

Also it must a new peak for the Black Eyed Peas in the album chart is it not?
