I see you can get Fitbits in TEAL now. I may have to finally invest.
Having a FitBit will change your life.
It'll also make you obsessive about the distance you've walked, how many steps you've taken, and how well you've slept.
Be prepared to become a fitness BORE.
I've had a phone version for ages (I do understand the drawbacks). I don't even have a Fitbit, but am utterly obsessed with step counts and my sleep. It is the inevitable next step.
2.5lbs lost. Hit 7.5lbs in total. Totally lost the ability to speak when the fat club lady did banter with me in front of a room of 25 women. My mum won a wok. What an evening.
Well done Ag!
I got a Fitbit for Christmas and it certainly does make exercise somewhat more interesting, I like a bit of self-competition.
Gah! I want TEAL now, not this boring black arse one I have.
I've listed all the exercise I'm going to do for the next 7 days. That means I'm definitely going to do it, right?
A fitbit has not changed my life, but I do like looking at my heartbeat. Mostly it's useful for tracking my bike rides.
although I do appear to be the only man in a 20 mile radius with one, and any mentions meet with mocking from fellow men. The joys of being a Yorkshireman.
I've ordered one. Yay. I see you can buy different (hideously overpriced) wristbands for them anyway.
I bore you by inviting you to take part in fitness challenges like my friend does to me.
So after a month of pretty strict clean eating, exercise and cutting out alcohol I can honestly say I feel the best I have in years.
The results speak for themselves, almost a stone in weight lost, better quality of sleep, a massive increase in energy, and most surprisingly a huge decrease in my heart rate.
At the beginning of Jan my average resting heart rate was 70 bpm, and over the month there's been a pretty sharp fall (monitored on my FitBit) to an average of 54 bpm now. I had three glasses of wine a few Saturdays ago and for the following two days my bmp increased by about 5 beats a minute before falling again.
It's remarkable just what a healthy diet can actually do to the body.
If I add friends on my FitBit can they see my weight?
No, just how many steps a day you've done.
Feel like I'm gain a half a pound this week. I had a terrible day yesterday and the weekend was so great.
I might wait until I've started running again before I add anyone
OMG where is the shy emoticon
Oh it's BLUSH now
Lost 4lb last week, total of 10lb off since Christmas, frankly I also needed a massive poo at the time too so good to see the sneaky midweek weigh this morning suggests I'm already a couple lb more down, hopefully that stays as is at least.
However, the demon drink returns this week. Indeed, it's all I can do to keep from having a quick one NOW...
No idea what weight I am, but I've almost certainly lost a lot. Joining the gym next week in an effort to regain some muscle. My Karen Carpenter cheekbones have never looked better though.
The duck one is really quite unpleasant. I won't be trying any of the others.
I keep coming back to this thread to see if any brave man has posted a shirtless pic showing results (Jill doesn't count) in order for me to see if it's worth uploading mine or not.
GET YOUR TITS OUT FOR THE LADS
I could do a topless back selfie like those ladies on Instagram do.
My back does look like most women's fronts.
I've got my first yoga class booked at the gym later today.
Is it better to do my workout before or after the yoga? I can see benefits for both, but I'm not sure...
My back looks like most men's backs.
I need to pick my fitness up, I've sacrificed myself to the capitalist dream this week.
You really know how to get my blood flowing x
Just did a 3.5k outside run which is very good for me.
I still haven't got past 2.5K yet.
Also, I've been eating better, drinking less and exercising loads. Feeling really good about myself. Then one blimmin' changing room and it's shitty lighting undoes all my good feelings.
It was really windy and a lot of varied elevation, so it was fucking solid. After KB training yesterday, all upper body, and that, I now ache like a goodun.
I refuse to look at myself derobed in those lights, they are fucking monstrous.
After gaining a pound last week I'm hoping I've lost again this week.
Gah 2017 was meant to be 'let's do this' but fuck me it's hard. Perfectly fine during the week, but every weekend revolves around drinking and then a natural eat-all-the-pies next morning.
Even if I could just do that one weekend day I think I'd be right but 5pm Friday is when we have a work drink in the office and it's all down hill the next forty eight hours. I think I may actually have to sign up to one of these '6 week course' things lots of trainers seem to do so I have to be responsible to someone.
I did 5.2k outdoors today. It was nice. I've been slacking lately.
Really I should be using my new gym membership rather than running outdoors but it feels like such a bigger hassle when you know there are people around and you'll have to change. I wanna get on with spin class, and I'd like to be a better swimmer.
Joining a running club next week which should be fun.
