Looking at last years topic I was possibly at my most out of shape ever... I lost a stone and a half and then kept most it off.

I start the year at 14 stone and 6lbs, which is a stone lighter than last year. I am currently eating well, lots of fibre - wholemeal everything and salad every day to fill up the plate, normally sharing with something low fat. Also not drinking. A week in and it appears to be going really quite well, which is nice and I'm feeling much less flabby.

I managed to get back in a 34" waist on any loose fitting trousers last year, but discovered in the sales that I can also get into a 34" slim fit as well now comfortably. So I must have lost a bit off my slightly chunky thighs as well.

I bought three new pairs of trousers to celebrate.

I’m horrid. But I kind of didn’t care- the last three months have been a ridiculous ride which I’ve loved and found exhausting in equal measure.

Back on it since Tuesday and not doing badly....

I'm quite comfortable in 36" for now, but somehow work slim fit still.

    yay.

I'm 10 stone 11 as of this morning which isn't bad.

my goals are to sustain gym attendance, stick to a class or classes and to actually do something with my upper body. I'm happy with everything below my waist but otherwise I'm just slim.

I need to do something beyond cardio but I panic with the other equipment.

The rowing club at the end of the road has this week started a Go Row indoor rowing exercise class each Saturday for a fiver. It genuinely made me consider it for about fifteen seconds.

    I went from 14st 2lbs last year to 13st 8lbs this morning (although I suspect that it's probably 13st 9lbs when I re-hydrate)

It's not magnificent progress but it's something. I'd like to see if I can get to the early 13s this year.

Interestingly when I did a body fat test earlier in the year it was (Just about) okay so there's a limit to what I can lose. If I had 0% fat I'd be about 11 stone, so I couldn't weigh less than clammy even if I wanted to

I have lost all my Christmas weight, which is marvellous. Down to 14 3. Definitely a head start compared to last year. Hoping I can see some firm numbers in the 13 stone region soon.

    No change for me.

As I'm at work with good digital scale, I weighed myself pre and post-poo, and discovered to my delight that I just shat away 200g.

I've lost a stone in two weeks, ridiculously. Still very much on it at the moment :disco:

TO MY HORROR I thought I'd gained 2 pounds this morning

Then a had a series of fairly lengthy shits

and when I weighed myself at lunchtime, magically those extra two pounds had gone.

(so take that, @lolly. You shat 200g, I shat a kilo)

I've lost fat by not drinking as much and being a ski wanker.

No idea what I weigh though.

    I'm about 13 6 now, and I need to get mid 12s. I'm still a 32w though.

I have utterly stalled. That Peanut Butter KitKat Chunky each night on my way home from work can't help.

I've been to the gym the majority of days this month and I'm happy with how my treadmill time is coming along. I'm braving the machines more too.

The last week work has just taken it out of me though and finding the energy to get there is a struggle. It's so easy to have a nap when I get home and continue to lay around. Hoping the brighter nights will give me more incentive.

Weight wise I'm essentially the same. I was 10 stone 10 this morning. But I'm happy enough with that.

9 stone 10 today. Would ideally like to get back to 9 stone. After the festivities I had found I had put on almost a stone. Still, a 3lb loss is a nice start.

I gave up smoking 4 weeks ago today. Wrong thread I know, but in terms of fitness my resting heart beat has gone from 65bpm to 60bpm since, which I find rather marvellous.

At some points overnight it was apparently 45bpm, which is basically dead, right?

My legs are looking amazing. I reckon I'm burning 1500 calories each day I ski, and this weekend I made a point of not drinking much and eating protein and fruit as opposed to crisps.

I think skiing might be the one thing I truly enjoy thats good for me.

I’ve finally reached, and surpassed my dream weight (85 kilos); only that the sudden gain is not mostly in muscles but seems to be in FAT. :wired:

My ass is fucking huge, which is good, but for the first time in my life I started to get what looks like future love handles.

Suddenly I can’t keep eating crisps and cakes and you have no idea how hard it is staying off these things when you’ve been used to eating a lot in order not to lose weight. :argh:

Oh and the reason behind this sudden obesity might be an age thing but most probably due to the fact that I haven’t been partying that much and that I’ve been taking sleeping pills and finally been able to sleep properly.
