This is a new, low-key snippet of Million Reasons, performed in her new authentic, impromptu dive bar tour with only a few cameras filming it for a beer advert.

It's got a lot of instrumentation and sound.

I feel slightly slayed by the sounds and nouns.

Far too many vocals for me. Very rich

ameraal, I've tried to have a think but the best I can come up with is SPARKLE CURTAIN which is a bit CRAP

Her voice is so grating(more than the usual) why is she singing like that? She's not chipmunk.

She's very nasal. If that's the way she sings in the whole of the album, I'll pass.

Can someone remind me of Joanne's comedy surname, please? I know it's in one of these threads somewhere but my fingers are tired :grr:

That "Million Reasons" sounds like its more likely to be a STOMPER in its normal form...

Obviously that's only a snippet so I need to wait for full thing, but it sounds like it may also suffer from one of the things I didn't like about Perfect Illusion. Namely that her voice has to occupy pretty much every second of the song. Oh how I long for a bit of SPACE.

    "A-Yo"

At least this one KINDA sounds like a bop, it sounds like it was produced by Mark Ronson, I'm sure we´ll be let down once the final version is released.

Sorry Pipo - the word BOP is banned from here, this isn't Popjustice! :D I fucking HATE that word. While we are at it, BANGER annoys the fuck out of me too!

:D Oh it's a word which disappeared from common usage in 1977 meaning A LITTLE JIG AT THE DISCO TO POP HITS, possibly involving a dirty fingering off Jimmy Savile or some free records off Jonathan King in return for a violently burst cherry

Even I wouldn't dream of use it and God knows I'm as OLD AS TIME

I love saying BOP and I don't care who knows it and yes I'll continue to use it wherever and whenever I want. There's nothing worse than internet elitism.

Don't forget it's LQ though, which definitely intensifies this impression.
(which personally doesn't bother me a bit, since I adore her belting :disco: )

I know this isn't the avenue internet queens want her to go down, but the one thing that I'm finding striking about what I've heard so far is how FOCUSED this album sounds. I loved Artpop, and its batshit insanity was part of its appeal, but her lack of direction was a major problem, expecially when it came to performing live. She just seemed like she didn't know what she was doing.

This album sounds so far removed from it, too far removed for most fans, possibly, but it sounds like such a cohesive album of adult pop. I'm so excited for it!

She still has time to go back to dance-oriented stuff at some point, if she feels like it.
I love this new re-invention, definitely more cohesive than the Artpop one.

Who cares if it doesn't suit the fickle queens, she was never going to re-hash her first two albums over and over again anyway.

I will be interested to see just how well Joanne (the album) does. She does still have a huge fan base but will the general public go for it?
