I'll tell you what the world absolutely doesn't need today. A new Morrissey album. I reckon social distancing might screw his chart position because streaming will be through the roof. This would be a perfect time for a Mozza flop, send him a message.

Saw it in Tesco earlier, they always stock him. It’s a shame the only song I’ve heard from it with Thelma Houston is so good.

Oh, the two reviews I saw both said it's his most musicially ambitious album in an age, possibly even since "Viva Hate". But I just can't bring myself to listen.

What bugs me is that it’s ok for people here or on another site to be streaming and listening to The Fizz’s new album because they are gay interest and fun while Morrissey should be cancelled. They’re all cunts (The Fizz and Morrissey that is)!

If it's any comfort, I'm not bothering with The Fizz either! But I agree, Aston standing for the Brexit Party is a sacking offence.

People are going to do what they are going to do. I'm only not listening to Morrissey because I'm not interested in him anyway.

Thankfully The Fizz have at least turned out a turd of an album, so after an investigative listen I don't need to have any dilemma. What I find interesting is whether what I think of Aston has influenced my opinion of her and therefore how I approached the album.

Cancel culture is shite. I think Morrissey is a cunt just like I think Aston is one. But if you want to listen to him, fill your boots.

Cancel Culture is indeed shite, mainly because it tends to hit younger people who make one off-colour utterance rather than people who do genuinely awful things. It will be interesting to see if there is a genuine on-going impact on awful employers like Cineworld and Britannia Hotels once we get through the worst of Covid-19 or if it will remain a tedious, useless online phenomenon.

Morrissey's physical sales must have been a higher proportion of his figure than for the others, I'd have thought, just given the age of his audience.
