has she done BBC breakfast yet? Anyone know?
Capital just gave the Liam Keegan remix a spin, very summery
I don't think so but she's in talks to do Rip-off Britain.
VIDEO EFFECT !
SLEEPER HIT !
SLAAY MAMA !!
She'd better not take on Angela Rippon in a sing or dance off and think she's going to win.
Quite the drop to #32 on Spotify today
Up slightly to 196k streams though.
I can't wait for revelations such as buying the large box of cheerios isn't always the cheapest option
They have really fucked this single up by not doing BBC Breakfast. All Saints did it and look what happened to 'One Strike'
I really need the video plz
I didn't realize lyric videos were still a thing. How retro.
The fact that it was an almost on time Gaga video should've tipped you off that it wasn't the real thing.
Why does this idiot never have any video ready on time?? This is one big reason why she hasn't had an event single since Applause.
She drops a lead single halfway through the week to avoid a peak in downloads in any chart week, then leaves the video until about a month later so even the YouTube points she gets on billboard don't boost either her downloads or her streaming (because the messy promo means that is slow to kick off, if it ever does)
Then subsequent singles are so confusingly released, just throw out a video and hope it works, which it doesn't because she's already ruined that pattern! So bloody frustrating
Preach! The Haus clearly has SCHEDULE ISSUES when it comes to pushing a single.
It's her first UK airplay hit in years and could go much higher if she actually had a proper PLAN...
I'm pretty sure this song was recorded for the A Star Is Born sessions and she liked it so much she decided to throw it out to keep her profile up until the next album. Doesn't really matter if it's #19 or #9, it's on the radio and it's doing fine on Spotify - her momentum is ALIVE
Tell that to her regular campaign though. After Applause her timing was totally shot. And Joanne who?
regardless it was a crap song that was a semi-flop I do recall Perfect Illusion being an EVETN single if I ever saw one.
She looked AMAZING in the video.
This is the thing I don't get, it wasn't a particularly complicated video, why did it take so long?
ART TAKES TIME YOU INSOLENT SCUMBAG! *thunders*
Maybe they thought by releasing the video a couple of weeks later they'd be prolonging the effect of a new release. If they'd release everything at once there's the risk of peaking too early, you know...
That's fine, but then you have a lyric video READY
Videos are so complicated these days.
I mean, who even watches music videos nowadays?!
Gaga videos? Patient gays
Other artists? Everyone else
I can hear myself shouting at the moon like all the chart purists. Just let me have this moment, then I will diminish and go into the West...
What is it with this apparently ever so modern routine of not releasing the video at the same time as the song and taking fucking ages about it, at which point everyone's sickened of the woefully drab tat anyway? Get your snout out of the glue and GET ON WITH IT!
funny thing is she's taking time with the video which will no doubt be a boring simple video of Gaga frolicking around on a bed SANS FARD and messy hair, it'll be a LOW-BUDGET affair that will make Victoria Beckham's A Mind of Its Own look like THE AVENGERS MOVIE in comparison :grr:
That's what I'm SAYING! *froths*
Well if it's good enough for STEPS..
It seems to be levelling out on Spotify, both in terms of position and daily streams. It needs something to give it a boost.
Just realised it has tumbled to #35 on iTunes UK as well. There are a good few Chris Cornell tracks above it, but it's clearly falling hard regardless.
Yes, you get that #1 on iTunes, #37 or whatever in the real thing, girl!
#1 in our hearts.
This song being about number 137 in mine
This must be toast now. She's mid-filming A Star Is A Born in the lead role no less, so there surely can't be any time for a video or any promo.
It was only an event-single, wasn't it?
I don't think she needs chart positions anymore anyway.
Moving from C-list to B-list on Radio 1
But Trammy, is it even confirmed that there will be a video?
QUEEN OF EVENT SINGLES
Maybe it was all a perfect illusion.
No, nobody knows It would be quite baffling if she doesn't plan to release a video for this, since it's her first shot at a proper HIT in YEARS.
Reminds me a bit of the Do What U Want situation. A killer song the GP would have properly embraced but was completely f*cked due to a DISASTROUS campaign and NO video.
The only times the Haus truly delivers is when it comes to live performances (Super Bowl, Coachella...).
Maybe she could do a few via sattelite performances, like when the Spice Girls tripped over some garden in Japan for totp back in the day.
OMG those were the days!!!
I wish they would bring back such shows for the streaming age.
Like a kind of TOTP broadcasted via Spotify or Netflix for the whole world. I can't believe no one thought about this yet...
