OUR NICOLA has released a brand new single and it has yet another ICONIC video! Get her on Strictly. Her dance moves are ON POINT as always.

The song might be the gayest thing I have heard in a LONG time. Is it wrong to say I actually kinda like it? :D

The album is produced by Matt Pop, and called 'Glitter To The Neon Lights'.

It also includes covers of Diana's 'Surrender', Alice Cooper's 'Poison', and Foreigner's 'Cold As Ice'.

Apparently this single was co-written by the guy who wrote The Slightest Touch and If I Say Yes for Five Star.

Nicki French unleashes her highly anticipated pop-extravaganza new album ‘Glitter to the Neon Lights’ on 19th November 2018 through Energise Records.

Nicki’s career rocketed in 1995 when her dance version of ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ stormed the global charts, resulting in a top 2 smash both sides of the Atlantic and selling in excess of five million copies – a mean feat not repeated by many to this day. After two hit albums and numerous single releases, she then represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with ‘Don’t Play That Song Again’ which propelled her back into the media spotlight.

A plethora of singles and albums graced dancefloors the world over in the years that followed and then in 2015, Nicki released what would become one of her most popular tracks to date, when ‘This Love’ became a summer anthem and pride favourite. This was followed by the original disco stompers ‘Teardrops (on the Disco Floor)’ and ‘Steal the Crown’ both hitting the top spot of the UK vocal iTunes charts and sending ripples through the charts around the globe. Her latest single ‘On Your Marks, Get Set, Go Away’ sets the tone of the album, bringing back the classic pop sound that has been so sorely missed for many years.

‘Glitter to the Neon Lights’ is what every self-confessed pop music lover has been craving: an album full of high-energy, synth-driven pop beats, a blend of original songs with a few remade classics, and Nicki’s effortless vocals and harmonies - all packaged together with a sprinkling of glittery pop magic.

The 12-track album includes eight original songs written by the likes of Charlie Mason, Peter Wilson, Michael Jay and Gordon Pogoda, and four classic tracks, updated and remade into Nicki’s unique sound. Top-notch Dutch producer Matt Pop features on production duties for all but the closing song, where Pete Ware leads the way to round off the album. Nicki has even teamed up for another duet with her good friend Suzanna Dee to introduce The Dooleys’ ‘Wanted’ to a new generation.

I kinda admire Nicki for battling on. She's clearly LOVING LIFE. A guy I know had his 30th earlier in the year and he got Nicki to perform at it. Not sure how much she cost. I think her usual fee is a couple of grand!

'Glitter to the Neon Light's really sounds like an album title that was workshopped through the medium of homosexual cliche madlibs.

It's the same label which put out the horrible and not at all gay cover version of Verona, featuring the not at all gay one from Same Difference, isn't it?

I don't mind the production on that version of Verona but I cannot abide that first guys' voice! Sean isn't bad though.

There's clips of all the songs on the album on the record label's website and it sounds pretty much like you expect it would.

I heard Surrender and thought OMG She has covered Javine until I remembered she'd stolen the chorus from Diana Ross.

I was just upset she covered Alice Cooper's Poison and not Nicole Scherzinger's.

Nicki is known for giving us CLASSIC videos though. There's this one from 2006 which looks like a Windows 95 screensaver.

The bit when she joins in with the dancers! :D

:D at 'sending ripples through charts around the globe'.

I'm not sure anything else in her video catalogue compares to this, demented arm waving and all:

I hate this bitch by default. I was part of a team in a rubbish gay bar for a rubbish quiz. Anyway, we tied for first so I went up for the tiebreak question to win £100 of drink vouchers for the table. The question was who had a hit with Total Eclipse of the Heart. I was straight with a triumphant declaration of Bonnie Tyler only to be told I was incorrect. My opponent offered Nikki French as the answer and was declared victorious.
