DARK SWEDISH FEMALE FRONTED ELECTRO-POP, potentially the greatest musical genre known to man.

Anyway, this lot (allegedly a group) have been around for a while and have gotten a bit of blog hype, and this is with their album still forthcoming. As far as I'm aware, they only have a few tracks out there at the moment, their two singles "DJ, Ease My Mind" and "The Fox", with b-sides "Under The Bridges" and "Gentle Roar", and other tracks "Mother Protect" and "Winterheart" joining them. My personal favourite is the pretty epic 9 minutes long "Under The Bridges" which builds to a huge spazzy melancholic synth climax, pretty much amazing -
    <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MHjgSTunoHg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

but the singles are pretty tasty also -
    DJ Ease My Mind
    <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BTHPO9uQonk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    The Fox -
    <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QIgeaYewUkM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It is pretty telling of where they are placed in the musical world, with their youtube related artists being Lykke Li, The Knife, Royksopp and Fever Ray.

WELL lookiung forward to the album, Under The Bridges had better be on it!

Is her dove alive or STUFFED?

I am not down with taxidermy and do not wish to support it.

Oh google image search has pictures of the dove in other positions. Either it is real or has been stuffed but given POSABLE WINGS (less likely).

I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and have a listen.

"Under The Bridges" is so spectacularly life-changingly amazing, I do not have enough good words for it - even at 8 or whatever minutes long it doesn't outstay its welcome, I always want FURTHER HANDCLAPS at the end. I really hope it ends up on whatever album they inevitably release.

I noticed they are doing the NME Radar tour of the UK soon, hopefully they will infect us in a BIG WAY* in 2012.

*A big way being sharing a few of the column inches Lykke Li got this year.

I haven't looked at what's on the iTunes version, but there are two different download versions on amazon. The first 12 tracks (I assume the same as the physical CD), and then another 16 track version with that 'Taylor' track as one of the extras.

I liked Play It On The Radio well enough, but the new one is on another level:

Loving the new one, glad they're back.

Saw them at Reading Festival in 2012 and she was endearingly uncomfortable. Sort of dropped off my radar after going quiet for so long.
