I can totally see WHY they went with IWTKWLI, although I think they should have put more faith in "H.A.T.E. U", which is by all accounts the highlight of this era.

I hope H.A:T.E.U. doesn't turn out to be this era's Migrate :( (which means wheeled out for live perfomances but never released)

*watches Mariah announcing the new singles will be The impossible and Candy bling* :gross:

IWKWLI will kill the project. I still can't even imagine what anyone was thinking when they decided to record it, let alone release it as the all important 2nd single. One of the most pointless covers I've ever heard.

H.A.T.E.U on the other hand is utter fabulous. Stupid record company!

No, we're getting IWTKWLI in November :( Big mistake I say but hey ho

Obsessed just had it's best sales week in the US thanks to the album release. Up to a peak of #9 on digital sales with 82,000 sold taking her to 958,000 downloads in total :disco: About 985,000 with CD sales included.

Well it did debut on the digital sales chart at #6 several months ago, but either way for it to still find its way to the top ten when the second single should be the one peaking (!) is a bit of a disgrace on IWTKWLI's part.

this was playing in my local doner kebab shop today! global hit! i almost forgot vegetarianism and ordered pork in utter celebration, but instead opted to do a little impromptu song and dance for my friend :disco:

a snotty rubbish gai kept looking condescendingly at me and i suspect the three schoolgirls giggling away were also haters

I've noticed that the discussion about this album is sort of fading now, I guess it didn't make as big of an impact as it was supposed to. I also don't think it will really begin to popular until the remix edition comes out in a month or two (Okay, I'll say it now, I'm completely doubtful, I'm talking out of my ass, I always do). I think it should have been an option from the beginning because she kept raving about the H.A.T.E.U./My Boo remix before the CD even went to press.

*edits rambling about how Mariah should have had Jump Smokers produce the album to begin with*

The remix is back on UK iTunes because of some random R&B compilation, currently #103 and rising. :disco:

The song does seem to be quite popular, it's a bloody hit for her if they just let it happen!

They should definately use it to promote the album, in adverts and things

    Obsessed - 87
    All I Want ... - 71

Tonight the first UK performance of 'I Want To Know What Love Is' on the Alan Carr show. The performance should be OK and hopefully the interview will be as good as when she was on the Friday Night Project last year.

And she's switching on the Christmas lights in about an hour. Let's hope for some Mariah hysteria
    JLS style! :disco:

In other news, I'm still ANGRY that O was at #15 on uk itunes before being unceremoniously PULLED for a replacement single which spent ONE WEEK in the top 40 :manson:

Quite a few people have heard Obsessed. Had it been handled PROPER I'd imagine it could have been her most recent hit.

I recall it having fairly good airplay on stations like KISS until it was pulled from the release schedule.
