Nothing confirmed although it's being reported.
She is/was 101
Where are you hearing this? Nothing on Twitter.
Datalounge - though they have now greyed out the story.
I hope it's not true.
(if only I had started this thread 10 years ago, then this would be the Olivia de Havilland Memorial Cemetery)
Sorry - it would be the 'Olivia de Havilland ABOUT TO DIE' thread.
I was hoping this wasn't FAKE NEWS as I have her in the Death Pool.
Mugatu doesn't. Phew.
oh she was my chosen centarian
I don't want to concern you, but King Michael I died a couple of weeks ago, so he's already level with you.
What a cock.
Fuck, I hadn't realised this. I'm back in the game.
Happy 104th birthday Livvy!
Can’t wait to see who she sues this year
I hear she's filing a restraining order against DEATH ITSELF
QUEEN OF LIFE (literally)
QoLivia de Havilland
Looking very much Ursala the Sea Witch.
Someone on Insta said she’s refusing to die because she doesn’t want to face Joan in Hell
no bad thing
Yeah, this woman isn't "fabulous". If/when doctors cut her, worms will spill out.
Why the hate, Sorb?
Aside from her incredible talent for breathing, I know her primarily from Gone With The Wind and her infamous feud with her sister, but I keep meaning to check out some of her other films.
I've never actually watched Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, though it's been sitting on my DVD shelf for years.
The Heiress is very good. The Snake Pit was not.
Other than Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte and Gone With The Wind, I don’t think I’ve seen any others.
Oh, apparently I have also seen Hold Back The Dawn and To Each His Own when I was briefly trying to watch all the Oscar nominated performances, but I cant remember them.
Seems she was always quite litigious even at her peak...
I don't know how you could hate a woman whose resume includes being "trapped in a small private elevator"
Ooh I’ve had The Snake Pit in my watch pile for a while now, I may rush it forward after that Ellie seal of approval
It’s not BAD, but a depiction of mental health done in a 1940s melodrama has obviously NOT AGED WELL.
I loved her in Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte
It's so good! I tend to view it (perhaps unfairly) as a companion piece to What Ever Happened to Baby Jane in the Bette canon - but DAME LIV's performance in it is something else..
