Come on Team GB
I'm starting to get GENUINELY WORRIED for the German swimming team.
So nice to see Prince Phillip out watching his granddaughter compete.
Adlington looks good during the first 250m.
So Adlington scrapes into the finals with the 8th time. Probably quite unfortunate that she was in such a slow heat. Will be interesting to see how this pans out tonight. Fede and Camille looked rock-solid, too.
Who's this RAGING QUEEN on the BBC?
I'm watching the women's road cycling - just spotted Richmond Nandos
I don't know her...
Poor fiercely heterosexual IAN.
She's going to have to significantly raise her game if she wants to take a medal tonight. She was clearly pacing herself in the last 100m because she had such a big lead, but I don't see her walking out of the aquatics centre with anything other than shame round her neck.
The problem with Rebecca is that her chances are being overhyped because she did the double in 2008. The 400m free is not her strongest event - her best chance of gold is in the 800m.
What is wrong with Ian Thorpe? He seems so unhappy and always responds to questions with 'Look...' and then talks over whoever he's speaking to.
He's upset that Sharron Davies hasn't slept with him yet.
Thorpe didn't manage to qualify for Olympics. Now he's there as an 'expert' in commentating rather than an athlete.
He's obviously a great get for the BBC but it's not a big surprise that Thorpe doesn't always look BEST PLEASED.
I assumed he had retired from competition
He did for a long time, and then a year or two ago changed his mind. His qualifying attempt was ridiculous.
He claims to be on a break in order to do the BBC commentary, before returning to the pool.
That's what he wants us to believe
He announces his comeback in early 2011 but failed to make it through the Aussie preliminaries.
The road race is looking interested again. If the leading pack stays the same, Armistead will get a medal.
I really hope Vos can do it.
This race is now much more exciting for me than the one yesterday now I basically understand what is happening
Listening on the radio - how many are in the lead pack now? 2 or 3?
I'm surprised by how tactical it is with team members stopping the Peleton gaining ground while their team mates remain in the leading group.
Any idea how long is left (in time terms?)?
This is very exciting
Will this be the first British medal?
Yep. First medal at the 2008 Olympics was also in this event.
Yes. Same for Netherlands?
No, we got silver yesterday.
Oh rubbish. So close
:Oi: BAN Kevin
Also Andy Murray wins his first set 6-3 against Wawrinka.
I'd rather have a gold tbh.
