I like the title. I hope it's more Pop- than 60s-tastic tho.
They've never really done an album with one major theme, 'Tangled Up' was meant to be a full on 'POP' album and we still got 'Black Jacks' and 'Control Of The Knife' which were quite heavily influenced on different styles! So I highly doubt they'd go all 60's on us now, not for a full album anyway.
I am sorry, but this is far too "I'm mad, me" or "I'm called H because I'm so hyperactive" for my liking.
I still don't really "get" the single
This is the most excited I've been for a Girls Aloud album, which doesn't say much.
I want 60S INSPIRED POP
Ooh look, Amy Winehouse and Duffy are doing quite well, LET'S DO THAT TOO
To be fair, if the lead single is anything to go by, it's hardly WINEHOUSE-esque
I like the single very much, but I hope this 60s-inspired business doesn't mean they will be neglecting the 100mph uptempo stuff completely. I'm sure it will be fine though, we haven't been let down before.
Yeah cause that's ALL what 60s music sounded like
Oh CALM DOWN, you know what I mean.
There's a fair bit of 60s BANDWAGONEERING going on in the music industry in general and this is just another example of that trend.
they've NEVER let me down album-wise, so bring it on ladies
TOO MUCH SARAH + NOT ENOUGH ELECTROFABULOUSNESS = not very good
Apparently ELECTROFABULOUSNESS would be them re-treading old ground and Girls Aloud just don't DO THAT!
They're all a bit up their own arses. Thank god Nadine has shingles. It's like slight karma.
they need a reality check then.. no one listens to GA for 'artistic integrity'..
From The Sun - the album tracklisting -
1. The Promise
2. The Loving Kind
3. Rolling Back The Rivers
4. Love Is The Key
5. Turn 2 Stone
7. Fix Me Up
8. Love Is Pain
9. Miss You Bow Wow
10. Revolution In The Head
11. Live In The Country
12. We Wanna Party (Bonus Track)
With 'The Promise' getting moved forward a week I'd assume the album will be out the 3rd November.
Oh so not ENTIRELY 60s at all!
Nadine Coyle already made her rapping debut and it was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL the first time around...
Good decision to move The Promise a week forward. The advantage of downloads was that we didn't have to wait a month before we could buy a single. With The Promise it looked like it used to: being tired of a track because they left it too long to release! Radio picked it up quicker than expected.
Some official press-release like talk about the album:
Have we had no reviews yet ?
What do we think of what's apparently the album cover?
That said wikipedia has it from the ever-reliable sun.
Still, not very Out Of CONTROL.
It's not very CLASSY
Still, I love the fact that Nicola is slowly turning into Mylènes lost daughter.
Kim in particular looks properly common in that pic. It just WON'T DO.
That blurb sounds promising though. It seems we don't have to worry about them doing an album's worth of Amy/Duffy impressions, not that I ever thought they would.
This is the cover - nice photo, shame about the nasty cheap stretched font.
That's FUCKING HIDEOUS
Eurgh, It looks like it's been designed by a 12 year old girl off the official message board.
I remember when The Aloud had properly amazing artwork.
I disagree. Bar the first album and the christmas half of "Chemistry", it's been FUCKING AWFUL the entire way for me...
They've had some great single covers - need I remind anyone of
The current artwork is nothing short of PITIFUL
There are several bad things about the cover
1. The god-awful font in front of that white block that could've easily been created in Microsoft Word. And something tells me it was
2. It's PAINFULLY bland, and looks like it's not even worthy of being a promo cover.
3. Sarah shouldn't be in the CENTER of ANYTHING
And notice how Kimberly is once again SHOVED in the corner.
The "Love Machine" cover was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, yes
Who the hell approved that font?
While the font is AWFUL, the picture isn't THAT BAD.
I'll give you that.
Someone at Fascination needs to get to dafont.com PRONTO!
