Having become a Eurovision related meme on Moopy this year, I think it's well overdue we have a lil chat about the UK's finest PIZZA and JAZZ establishment, in the latest in this OCCASIONAL SERIES OF HIGH STREET FOOD TOPICS.

    McDonalds
    Subway
    Greggs
    Nandos

I go probably once or twice a year. It's fine in terms of food but I always expect it to be nicer than it actually is.

I'd have voted for "I quite like it" if that had been an option. As BoysForSeles said, IT'S FINE.

I don’t really LOVE air, but I’m closer to that than the passive tolerance of “I don’t mind it”

I like their Fiorentina if the egg is runny enough

Well I say I HATE IT but I’d obviously eat it. However, I’d think quite badly of someone if they suggested going there for an intimate date, funeral after-party, etc.

I'd rank it leagues above Pizza Hut which I mostly avoid, but below Zizzi.

The Fiorentina is indeed amazing, I'm fairly partial to their four seasons. And you can never get ENOUGH dough balls of course.

But I find it crowded, busy and full of awful children. I don't enjoy being there. I find anywhere that offers vouchers to get people in, normally have awful clientele.

It's hardly top quality but their vegan pizza is great. And a Pizza Express deliveroo is always lovely.

You don't need to sit in the restaurant.

I'd say it's one of the better quality chain restaurants, but there are far better Italian places locally which generally get my business instead. I'm quite partial to a Pizza Express pizza from the supermarket, but ONLY if they're on offer for half price.

The Pizza Express in Glasgow city centre used to have a one-handed chef, and watching him knead the dough with his stump and then expertly toss it in the air was always the highlight of any visit.

There is one here and it looks a bit nicer than Pizza Hut but I’ve never ctually tried eating there. I don’t think they deliver to where I live.

    Pizza express is FINE.

I would actually rate it higher than some other Italian chains like Zizzi or Bella Italia.

I certainly prefer it to Bella Italia, although they have more choice if you're wanting anything other than pizza.

    I never rated Zizzi particularly

And I could never look at it the same after @Dark Carnival noted it’s the equivalent of WILLY in French

I have only been to a Pizza Hut once since about 2005 having witnessed them spray the garlic on to bread, therefore forming garlic bread.

I bought an Iceland pizza (feel free to judge) that had a crust marvellously stuffed with hot dog sausage the other week.

    It was repulsively satisfying.

That don’t seem to do those sorts of shenanigans in Japan. They do like putting honey on cheese pizza though (it’s alright)

Some of the Iceland pizzas aren't bad at all. The cheapest ones are terrible though. I think of the supermarkets the Coop fresh pizzas are actually the best.

I'm quite partial to honey with cheese if it's part of a cheese board, but I'm not sure what I think of it on pizza.

I feel it my civic duty to investigate.

I like Pizza Express, I think it’s perfectly good for what it is, as well as being affordable. I don’t think the likes of SuRie would have just chosen any old venue to tour.

I don't mind Pizza Express. I have many fond memories of the Greenwich branch of a Friday with my gang back when I still lived there (don't know if it still exists)..

    Um.. what about PREZZO's tho?

I might be in the minority here but I do think that honey is pure filth. I don’t like it with ANYTHING

In fact I’ve been wondering why on earth there’s a jar of it in the cupboard but I now remember that the exception to the rule is HOT TODDIES :disco:
