I shouldn't have turned SafeSearch off
It seems Togepi outfits are QUTE hard to come by:
And...unrelated as such but how fucking FREAKY is this:
I remember Togepi from the TV show (he's the starfish one that spat out water, right?)
I see Jigglypuff is a QUITE a HIT with the kids too.
Maybe I'm going to be better at this than I thought
Oh, and is that guy on the right Psyduck? He was COMEDY GOLD
That's CHANSEY, it's not very useful apart from keeping around if you are trying to hatch eggs, makes them hatch quicker because of Chansey's "Helpful Vagina" status or something. It looks a bit too much like Predator for my liking though.
My current love is my LAPRAS
You can ride on its back across the sea, and it's a TOUGH COOKIE. I'm relying on it to take out the dragons near the end.
OMG I HAVE SO MUCH TO TEACH YOU CHRISSY I'm so excited
I was never a fan of Lapras...isn't electrictiy just as effective against dragon Pokemon?
Togepi is the shit little egg one (see Slave's pic and the guy wearing old lady knickers).
You are talking about STARYU who I was a bit obese with back in the day
Ah yes, they used to ride on the Nessie thing in the TV show. This is going to be a breeze
TEACH ME ALL YOU KNOW Diddy!
Only if they are flying ones. I think Ice is the only thing effective against them, maybe Dragon is too (but obviously then the Dragons are just as effective back at you)
I foolishly had Togepi in my party until I realised the age old golden rule of Pokemon. They can't be cute AND decent fighters.
Much the same as the ghost/psychic catch-22 situation.
I think about 75% of all texts I've sent this week have been POKEMON RELATED to my nephew. You have my number
But yes I agree. I'm training up my Steelix which looks like it's ACTUALLY come from HELL
in a PAEDO stylee, they are only cute before they've evolved most of the time.
Squirtle - cute, Blastoise - not so much
Aww, I chose Cyndaquil, it looks SO cute that it'd need a warm flannel on its face every morning to help it open its eyes.
Until...err, no thanks:
Oh, I think this gay looking thing has to be my starter
the best evolution was from Ponyta to Rapidash, the most beautiful Pokémon ever designed
I'm told that is the medium difficulty starter, not bad
I went for the easy fire one because you can torch MOST THINGS
what IS Cyndaquil supposed to be, a mole?
So if they evolve, you presumably lost the one it evolved from?
but you can always cancel evolution, like I did when Pikachu wanted to be Raichu. Pikachu is just sacred and should never evolve
So Fire = easy, Leaf = medium, Water = hard?
My natural inclination is to steer clear of anything leaf-like, as waving your petals at something seems like a very rubbish proposition for fighting.
Yeah, but there are options. You can stop an evolution while it's happening but pressing a button (i forget which), or getting the Pokemon to hold an Everstone.
Or afterwards you can get them to SEXX UP in the Daycare centre and lay an egg.
This is going to be play HAVOC with my OCD, I can just tell...
Bulbasaur will KICK YOUR ASS
That's what I understand. I think that's based on the order of the gyms you have to fight (do you remember that from the show?). So for example - this isn't what happens - if the first gym was Grass Pokemon, you would struggle with a water Pokemon because grass is strong against it (i think), but Fire is good against Grass (because you can set fire to the fuckers)
Oh btw your Pokedex is like an encyclopedia of all the Pokemon you have caught/held. To be the ultimate you want to get all the Pokemon that way. But if say your Pikachu evolves to Raichu, Pikachu is still in your Pokedex, you don't need to have both at once.
There is also a "seen" counter in your Pokedex, so if you don't catch a particular pokemon, or you are against one in a trainer battle, that counts towards that total.
THAT SAID, after countless hours, I did end up on a breeding frenzy with the previous Pokemon game so I had one of everything
yes, what it all comes down to really is how long you're willing to spend in the wilderness training your pokemon before going to your first gym
I personally love the challenge of it
My top tip for starting out, there's an area around the first gym where you can catch a Mareep. It's an electric sheep that evolves into a pretty awesome fighter, definitely worth investing in that, particularly before the first gym. First gym is full of flying pokemon and Electricity is great against those
But Mareep doesn't get a DECENT electrical move until about lv. 56
Is the fire/grass/water thing unique to HeartGold/SoulSilver? In the first generation, picking fire was easily the HARDEST because you had a rock gym and then a water gym.
That said, grass is by FAR the slowest evolution in that game - I remember having to fight the ENTIRE elite four just to get Venusaur up one level.
What the what? It's about the only one I've had that hasn't wasted its time with shitty status moves. Thundershock, Discharge, Thunderpunch ... i use them all the time! I just got Signal Beam too, I'm not sure what Bug moves are good against (and why the hell Ampharos got it in the first place)
Did you get your Golem back btw?
I did get it back yes thanks, but the Pokéwalker is most definitely dead to the world.
I don't think it's a huge loss really, though my sources are conflicting. Some say there are some you can only get from the Pokewalker, others say there are Pokemon on there that you can get on in the usual game but not before you go to Johto.
my Pokewalker is up to £16 with 30 hours left, but with 19 watchers!
There are some Pokemon you can get on there (some of the old starter ones) but a lot of it isn't open until you get to Johto, no.
