this one is a real CLASSIC
god I love the CHILL GROOVES phase of the mid 90s
I bought this album on a boat to the Netherlands in 1998 hun
that is some HOT TRIVIA. did they sell albums on boats? was it a BOOTLEG COPY? I really only know this track from them, I'll have to investigate further
Yes it was a overnight ferry and they used to sell CDs which I played on my CD Walkman
also from that holiday (but not purchased on the boat) was Brandy’s Never Say Never album and Bills Bills Bills by Destiny’s Child
Far less forgotten of course, but I was actually getting my life to their version of Midnight at the Oasis just the other day. (Which SURELY you must have heard @Jark The Herald Angels Sing?)
God the POTATO QUALITY of that YouTube rip! Sort it out lads!
Stop Listening by Tanita Tikaram
Lavinia Jones - Sing It To You
I was convinced this was going to be a top 10 smash.
I don't understand how one of the best songs of the 90s got to number 29 in the UK and number 73 in the US
Was this Max Martin co-write a hit or whatever?
Oh I love some DeDe. This was top 20 in Sweden for her but did hang around for a long time in the chart so felt bigger than its peak. She had two bigger singles there though.
I knew the Sash! remix, but this is a treat indeed.
I don't recall the verses at all though.
Walking On Music was tier 1 Corona that should have kept the momentum going had the album not been delayed and passed on to a smaller label, which of course killed the project.
Power of Love is divine.
Final single Magic Touch also had a video, which has gone missing on youtube. More glitz and grinning, bumping and thumping.
Here is Sandy Chambers re-enacting the iconic K-Lo PA. It samples or rips off Rick Astley and Donna Summer's PWL bests. I never tire of it. Not a single though.
