Talking in the All Saints thread about the different ways we rate albums and how some people (me) are more conservative than others. There is no right way to rate your loon albums but is always fun to see a TRUE CRAZY RATE rate your faves here! this is how I rate Madonna’s Ray Of Light, still the greatest album ever made: 10 Drowned World 10 Swim 09 Ray of Light 10 Candy Perfume Girl 08 Skin 10 Nothing Really Matters 10 Sky Fits Heaven 08 Ashanti 10 Frozen 11 The Power of Goodbye 09 To Have And Not to Hold 09 Little Star 08 Mer Girl
10 spinning around 11 On a Night Like This 10 So Now Goodbye 10 Disco Down 07 Loveboat 07 Koocachoo 1,000,000 Your disco needs you 10 Please Stay 09 Bittersweet Goodbye 11 Butterfly 09 Under the Influence of Love 07 I’m so High 10 Kids 08 Light years On first thought. I may have albums I like more, but I can’t think of any right now
Butterfly by the Legendary Ms. Mariah Carey 11 Honey 10 Butterfly 10 My All 16 The Roof 10 Fourth of July 13 Breakdown 10 Babydoll 13 Close My Eyes 14 Whenever You Call 10 Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise) 15 The Beautiful Ones 10 Outside However, this scoring is on the a conservative side.
10 Marry the Night 08 Born This Way 10 Government Hooker 08 Judas 10 Americano 08 Hair 09 Scheiße 10 Bloody Mary 07 Black Jesus † Amen Fashion 07 Bad Kids 10 Fashion of His Love (Fernando Garibay Remix) 10 Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) 11 Heavy Metal Lover 09 Electric Chapel 06 The Queen 10 You and I (Mark Taylor’s Shania Twain Remix) 09 The Edge of Glory
This is quite a tough task as a lot of the albums I love I would score highly/solidly on the individual songs but not spectacularly yet as a body of work it’s amazing. Likewise a lot of pop albums might have high flying individual scores but altogether is too much.
My top 3 albums of all time - rated! same! Also I’m going to have an existential crisis over what my favorite album is. I just can’t decide
Hunter - 11 Jóga - 10 Unravel - 11 Bachelorette - 10 All Neon Like - 10 5 Years - 09 Immature - 09 Alarm Call - 10 Pluto - 11 All Is Full Of Love - 11
You definitely should Suedey! Ten Love songs is definitely her most electro/big sounding album. Her other efforts are bit more laid back. But if you like that electro sound you should also check her collabs with Röyksopp, Kleerup and M83.
Is it too early for Miss Abthrojpoecene? Would the scores lie? 11 So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth 10 Darkseid 08 Delete Forever 09 Violence 11 4ÆM 10 New Gods 11 My Name Is Dark 08 You'll Miss Me When I'm Not Around 10 Before the Fever 08 Idoru 10 We Appreciate Power
Ben Howard’s Every Kingdom is probably the only album to trouble ROL for me in the past 20 years. Probably not moopy-adjacent but here it is anyway: 09 Old Pine 07 Diamonds 10 The Wolves 08 Everything 09 Only Love 10 The Fear 11 Keep Your Head Up 10 Black Flies 10 Gracious 10 Promise
Sundfør session now in progress ‘Oblivion’ is pure perfection. ‘Mountaineers’ was the first song I wanted to hear after ten days silent meditation. It was a perfect moment with ALL the feels.
Then of course there’s this: 08 All I Really Want 10 You Oughtta Know 10 Perfect 10 Hand In My Pocket 09 Right Through You 10 Forgiven 10 You Learn 07 Head Over Feet 10 Mary Jane 10 Ironic 07 Not The Doctor 07 Wake Up I’ve always contested that JLP doesn’t have one stand out epic track, but the fact that it’s so mind boggingly consistent from start to finish with amazing songs is what makes it so special
10 Drowned World 09 Swim 11 Ray of Light 08 Candy Perfume Girl 09 Skin 10 Nothing Really Matters 11 Sky Fits Heaven 07 Shanti 11 Frozen 11 The Power of Goodbye 08 To Have And Not to Hold 08 Little Star 10 Mer Girl
I <3 Music For People In Trouble so much. It's a total GROWER of an album, and also quite SEASONAL (Winter), but a beautiful counterpoint to Ten Love Songs. White Foxes and The Silicon Veil album remain a TOWERING TRIUMPH TOO ofc
Anyway. Susanne stan aside, I think my favourite album would probably be The B-52’s, Wild Planet or Cosmic Thing. Or World Clique.

One of them: 10 One More Time 10 Aerodynamic 10 Digital Love 09 Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger 07 Crescendolls 08 Nightvision 11 Superheroes 08 High Life 08 Something About Us 08 Voyager 09 Veridis Quo 07 Short Circuit 10 Face To Face 09 Too Long
A probably even better one 10 Everything In Its Right Place 09 Kid A 09 The National Anthem 11 How To Disappear Completely 08 Treefingers 09 Optimistic 08 In Limbo 10 Idioteque 10 Morning Bell 10 Motion Picture Soundtrack
As you know @POP! I'm no Britney fan but I do remember the buzz around that album. It felt like she had released something really important in her career.

I would like to do this, but you know how boring it is to read another Ray of Light rate with all 11s and 10s.
