I don't "DO" podcasts, but I've decided I really rather should. You know the sort of SHIT I like, what should I be going for? ANY IDEAS?

Throwing Shade is my current favorite, presented by two ex infomania presenters. The first few episodes are a bit rough (as are most podcasts) so i'd start around episode 10 if you decide to give it a try.

    Answer Me This
    Media Talk (The Guardian)
Friday Night Comedy (Radio 4 - but Toksvig has just finished her run of The News Quiz and we're on to the Now Show with Punt and Dennis)
Comedy Of The Week (Radio 4)

They are the four I ALWAYS listen to. A few others here and there.

Oh, and Desert Island Discs OF COURSE. I only download it if I'm interested in the castaway, but there's a huge archive of old ones fairly recently made available. I guarantee you you'll find MANY you'll love.

Mark Gatiss choosing Su Pollard's version of 'Come To Me (I Am Woman)' of course being a highlight.

Mine are all American but if you're into the Oscars then Oscar Talk is good. Wait wait don't tell me is a classic NPR show and I love popculture happy hour also by NPR.

Just as a warning (from the Ministry Of Warnings) though, the tracks are MUCH shorter (about 30 seconds total length) 'for rights reasons' :daf:. It annoys the HELL out of me, although the songs aren't really the reason why you listen to it. Why can't they just include links to iTunes or wherever for all the available tracks instead, and try to monetise it?

Brian Safi and Erin Gibson, they're hilarious and it usually end up just them riffing off each other.

Mine are mostly American movie related ones. The only British ones I listen to are Mark Kermode and ones from the Simply Syndicated network - they have about 18 different shows: http://www.simplysyndicated.com/shows/

I don't "do" it myself, but I "do" with Iguana every now and then - The Archers is really quite nice before bed.

I'm a big fan of 'The Moth' podcasts. They're quite short (15-25 mins max) and 90% of the time it's a very interesting story.

I don't THINK they are available as podcasts (I imagine they might appear on thebox.bz though), but starting yesterday 'Tales Of The City' is being dramatised on radio 4 in 15 minute instalments. Looks like they are doing the sequence of novels as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01qffmr

They're not on thebox yet as I type, but I made a request for it. I love the books.
