Clip of things not going too well for one of the girls
This one's caught up in some racist Snapchat drama too. Oh dear.
Please say it's Alexis and not Nina!
what's the racist drama?
She used the term "Mexican wetbacks" when lashing out at some of her followers I think?
That's the gist of what I read. He doesn't seem terribly robust as an individual which is not the best place for a Drag Race queen to be.
She really is her own worst enemy.
She needs to not listen to her INNER SABOTEUR, she's ADDICTED to her ANXIETY.
I'm DRIPPING from the DOWNPOUR of her INSECURE TYPHOON
at the elimination and at some of the queens who outlasted said eliminatee
Nina seems like that person that everyone is sick and tired of. Which is too bad because I really like her work.
My prediction for Top 3 is Shea Coulee, Valentina and Trinity Taylor (with Shea winning)
A bit of a meh episode, the writing on these acting challenges is painful.
I thought it was great, but maybe it's because I got the references.
The top three were all fantastic. Nine was the weakest.
As in I've watched 90210. I know the characters so I knew the parodies.
I thought it was great too. The skits have never exactly been Tina Fey levels of funny, but the writing is always elevated by quality turns from the queens.
Definitely the right winner of the challenge, though Shea and Valentina must have run Trinity pretty close. The three of them seems like a lock for the Top 3 for me too.
Aja was just Aja and I'm glad, though surprised, that she went. I do like Farrah but she's got pretty lucky a couple of times now and I can't see that lasting for much longer. Nina was a mess both in the challenge and on the runway but there's enough there to keep you watching. The lip-sync was OK too.
Didn't enjoy yet another heart-rending tearjerk moment in the workroom as they're getting ready for the runway. It's naff.
It's quite clear now that the Shemail video clips are part filmed before the season commenses hence why they've been absent from some episodes - Mathu isn't there to keep the makeup looking consistent.
I wonder if it's also the reason for the absence of mini challenges too? Surely we should have had the Reading challenge last week?
This was another great episode but with a sad ending. In fact all endings from now on will be sad as I love almost everyone. The top three were amazing; Valentina made me laugh the most, but Trinity keeps stepping it up.
So sad to see Aja go, I thought she was the perfect messy queen (and I found her hot as a boy). The Linda Evangelista song and her lip sync to Heroes are still my favourite things about this season.
As much as I've loved Nina, I kind of wnted her to leave because I'm tired of watching her underperform and get bitter after every challenge.
I kind of wanted Nina to go as I'm disappointed by how much I liked her at the start compared to now. It wasn't an exciting lipsync but it was a very close one, I expected Aja to just edge it.
Really? I think Aja was firmly down at the bottom end, so no great shock, even if a couple of others were equally deserving.
I enjoyed it. The acting challenges are always borderline amusing/ painful, but seem to fall the right side for me. And I think it's kind of also the point, isn't it?
I can't find Untucked on YouTube yet. Could someone post it here if they find it, please?
I haven't been able to find it either.
I thought the episode was a bit MEH too. None of the jokes landed, the script for 9021HO was shit and none of the acting was that great either. Personally, though, I think Shea was robbed- she was far better than Trinity, who didn't go far enough for my liking.
BEGGING Nina to stay over Aja, though- she's got far more BITCH potential. Aja was just dull and I'm glad she ended up with egg on her face after her ridiculous hissy fit at the casting stage. Overall, though, the lip sync was dull- at one point I wondered if Ru would do her "you do not have the necessary fire to continue" line.
I did think it might be a double elimination too. However, I'm glad it again, just like last week, showed that doing acrobatics doesn't get you through.
Untucked is on YouTube now, should hit the torrents soon.
I can see a few things claiming to be Untucked S09E07, but not anything that actually is it.
It's on the World of Wonder channel but it requires a VPN.
In a groundbreaking moment, Mr Sheena had to go to the shops this morning as we have lunch guests and he warned me not to watch without him
OT: I got an advert for this today
Basically a watered down version of DragCon. I'm SORELY TEMPTED.
I think that's a step too far for me. At that price, anyway.
Me too - but I've never heard that mix of "Finally" before, I presume it's the original. It's TOO SLOW!
So glad Nina stayed for next week's Roast challenge.
Not for me. It's quite a line up though (and quite a price...) but the clips I've seen of DragCon make it seem a bit sterile. A Meet & Greet would be mortifying for me too.
I have no interest in meeting people I admire these days. I just don't know what i'd SAY.
I thought the writing was a little better than other challenges they have done of this ilk.
Poor snubbed Baga Chipz!
YAY NINA I've seen mutterings that that lip sync was some grand injustice but Nina murdered it - totally assured and poised in contrast to Aja whipping out every desperate lip sync trope (GOD if I never see the splits as a wow move again it'll be too soon - especially after CLF did it to basically ZERO RESPONSE last week)
It was hardly a lipsynch to talk about, the song just didn't work.
I like Nina and everything but get over the fucking SABOTEUR already. Her acting was shit and clearly giving her direction is a nightmare. At this point I agree that Valentina, Shea and Trinity look quite strong for the top 3. And I actually like all three. Still not fond of Alexis.
