    YOUR MOOPY NEEDS YOU!

    Much like Jesus, Moopy cannot live on air alone. Our monthly running cost is a minimum of £36 and currently we are not earning that much. With extra cash we can secure our position for the future and expand and update to be better! There are several ways in which you can help;

    Moopy Patreon

Sign up here to give a regular donation. You can choose how much you give and you can cancel at any time. To give you an idea, if we had 18 posters giving just £2 a month, we would be in a good position.

Current patreons = 8, giving $36 per month (this is subject to fees)

    Standing order direct to Moopy
You can also make a regular donation via standing order straight into the Moopy bank account. This saves us paying any fees to other sites. Please ask for the bank details.

Current standing orders = 6, giving £21 per month

    One off donation

I totally appreciate not everyone is in a position to sign up to a monthly payment. So if you would like to make a one off donation please let me know and I can give you the moopy bank account details to transfer into

Current one off donations amount = £118

    Amazon link

If you buy anything from Amazon, please buy via the link at the bottom of the page and Moopy earns a % back. It costs you nothing!

    2018 Amazon earnings;
    October - £30.64
    August - £31.31
    July - £37.01
    May £27.01
    Jan £77.93

Current Moopy balance - Dated 14/11/2018
    £492.09

If you have any questions, please ask.

Funds received with kind thanks from the following:

I'm waiting for other people to set up payments so I can one-up them and feel smug

I've signed up! However, I think it might be better value to do it as a standing order, because I donated $5 per month. $1 VAT is charged, and then another $1 is taken by Patreon, so Moopy only gets $4.

I do totally agree, if you're happy to do it that way then just let me know what details you need from me.

I don't mind really. What we probably should do is find out how many people are willing to donate. Those who are can sign up and put an arbitrary amount in, but then we can adjust accordingly once we know. If the costs are only £36 per month, we don't need to be getting way over that, as it's not as if we have massive costs over and above and we don't want to be going the other way and ending up with, say, £75 a month!

I'd rather standing order too. Think I have the bank details any way.

But I still think this is useful for those who can't (e.g. international folk)

If we build up a good stock pile it will last us. That's what I did before and it's kept us going 11 years! If at any point we have a ridiculous amount of money, then I can always update and cancel the standing orders. Back in 2007 I built up almost 2k in the account, that's why I haven't had to ask for donations till now.

Yes I think we should aim higher than the £36 rather than just for that.

Dollars or not, I've signed up.

I've set up the Patreon, but I'd still prefer to do the standing order directly to the account.

I might keep the Patreon going as well so I can feel like a better person than everyone else.

I'm doing the patreon, the standing order, the one off donation, AND I've popped my debit card and pin number in a jiffy to Indie.

Guys when you set up the standing order, if you could just also let me know your mother's maiden name and name of your first pet. Just for my records. Thanks x

Well I’VE just recorded a cover of Supertramp’s ‘Give a Little Bit’ with Ruth Lorenzo and Eoghan Quigg. All proceeds will be going to my new charity ‘Help 4 Homos’, which aims to eliminate poverty among gay interest forums by 2030.

It's not a competition @ButterTart! I thought £3 a month was a reasonable donation but paid it up front because you never know when Mr F will lose another job and we're back to being on the bones of our arses. I wouldn't want to be chucked off Moopy for not paying my subs, it'd be like art club all over again :D

I'd like to point out that coercing people into giving away their every last penny in exchange for being part of a group the outside world doesn't understand is exactly how Jonestown started.
That said, I don't want to lose face in the generosity competition so my £38.02 donation will be with you shortly.

There's always one who has to take something nice and turn it into a contest. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to electrocute my parents so that I can donate the proceeds from any real estate I inherit.
