I've updated the first post with those I have received so far. I will keep updating as more arrives. Some people wish to remain anonymous though and I will respect that.

I'm surprised people wish to remain anonymous. I guess I understand not revealing how much they are giving, or how often - we don't need to know that, but whatever. The only really important thing is that they are.

    Thank you, mystery donors.

Will it be better for Moopy (IE receive as much of the donation as possible) if us foreigners go through Patreon, or a one-time wiring?

That's a good question. I think patreon wound be better as some are already using it, so we've got to pay their fees anyway. I remember once with v bulletin I paid a fortune in transfer fees

what about something like TransferWise? not that I've ever used it but the last time I did a regular bank transfer to a foreign account (as close as Sweden no less) I was charged more in fees than the amount I actually transferred. and if Patreon takes a few good chunks on a donation...

Patreon charges 5% of the total so currently we're paying (or will pay come September) $1.1 from our $22 pledge. It's not that steep.

I’ve left the Patreon going and set up a standing order. I think any profits should go towards a Christmas party.

I will set up a standing order before payday, if someone sends me the deets. Let's face it, I can hardly NOT contribute.

Patreon seems to be going well. Not sure how much will be going to Star. Reckon we've easily got a dozen backers.

As star says we won't know for sure until the regular bank transfers start going in.

Yup so as I've said, the first post has been updated with the money I have received so far via standing orders. There is more to come but obviously everyone does it for different days, so I can't only update as I receive it.

We have 6 Patreons signed up. That I need to work out, because we pay some in fees and there seems to be costs involved in extracting the cash.

However much you like! Current donations are between the £2 -£5 mark. But it's totally up to you.

I've left my patreon rather than change it to standing order. But if it is too costly or too much of a faff I'm happy to change it.

If it's not too much of a faff to change it to a standing order, I would prefer that. Only that doesn't cost us anything in fees. But otherwise you can keep it a patreon.

It told me it will be the 1st of each month, starting September. I don't think I had any option to change it - or at least if there was it was hidden in small print and I didn't notice it.

I think a fair portion of donations is due to kick in tomorrow as lolly said above, so then we'll know more.

We've had 5 one off donations and 7 on Patreon? It's a start but we could do better!

We need the help of Geordie Georgie!

When you have a moment could you tell us about the costs involved for this tag reveal upgrade? And is it something you can install?

Of the $31, there's $27.31 left after patreon fees. There's more to come off though once I extract to PayPal.
