How many of us have done Patreon? Maybe if all of us switched to a SO then we'd have, what, an extra £7 a month?

$31 is £23. Added to the £19 that would take us over the £36 we need.

That has also been discussed earlier in this thread. However patreon is useful for overseas members in particular.

That allows us to break even, but as Ag mentioned, we will sometimes have extra running costs. And if there is excess it allows me to buy prizes for things, which is something we used to really enjoy doing.

Some people seem to be concerned that we may be getting too much money. I don't hold onto extra money, it all gets spent on the site/ members. And on several occasions in the past when we have been flush (and I mean over 2k in the account), we have had votes/group decisions on making a charity donation. Sometimes it's good to give back.

I'd LOVE to revive the MOOPY PRIZE GIVEAWAY, if we were in a position to do it. But realistically I don't think we should consider it until we're breaking even monthly.

Oh God yes, the Sheena Prize Giveaways were an absolute gas. I won a Nurse With Wound CD one time.

I think I've done this, I bit the bullet and did some hardcore coding. The Patreon and Amazon links are on the top bar now.

It looks fine on my screen but if it's fucked up for anyone else, or we prefer the links somewhere else, then let me know and I'll change it back.

I just wonder if you put them in a slightly different colour they'd stand out more. But otherwise that's perfect.

I'll try it as soon as I can work out how to change the colour of only those two bits of text and not all of it. There's got to be some way.

Am I missing something? It's still the Amazon link at the bottom and nothing different for me.

I want that proposed Patreon cover on a t-shirt. I've needed to replace my Cheadle Piss Olympics one for a few years.

I'll switch up the design slightly and make sure there aren't any disconnected mouths, they keep freaking me out.

Might need make the banner dimensions slightly larger in the header properties menu, as always if it looks shit on everyone else's screens we can switch back.

Just had a gander at the code. Good work. Could have done it but I hadn't even thought of it.

That does remind me, I need to talk to you about tags. I'll put something in our forum tonight or tomorrow.

So we're still on this so we have enough to cover monthly costs and have a bit extra saving up.

Back in June when we started thinking about raising funds, we had £422. Today we've got £487, so positive growth.

That doesn’t sound great considering the one-off donations plus all the monthly subscriptions. How much was the tag add on? It seems we still don’t have enough to break even each month.

My Patreon went up by £1 to £6 because now I have to pay tax on it, as well as the Patreon AND PayPal fee - you’re seeing what, £3 of that?

Ah ok. I still think we could do better though, but people will only give if they want to. I’ll say no more about it because I wouldn’t want it to come between us.

Send me the details please Star? I know I rarely pop up and unfortunately cus I got a house and some nice stuff for it, and a kitten and a pony (pony is fictional and therefore free) I'm a bit skint, but I can throw a little into the pot.

Yes we could, but the urgency is gone if we're at least breaking even each month. And hopefully these next few months will be the Amazon biggies as well.

Just a suggestion - anyone who has been banned needs to pay a fee to be unbanned.

As I said above we have had some additional server costs this month alongside the tag thing which we said was £30. So we've not made as much as normal but if we had not had the additional income we would have been in the £300 by now...

That works in principle but we have had a couple of people banned recently for probably very minor things. If we’re going to introduce a few we probably need some ground rules as to what constitutes a ban.
