Of course it's emotive language. You wouldn't get 'devastated Kate' printed in a broadsheet newspaper. The idea is to be at least APPEARING to be objective when you are a journalist, UNLESS you're doing an opinion piece.
Did I just see that ad for OK! magazine right? Kerry Katona has her say on the matter this week?
I wonder if she'll criticise them for being bad parents...
Jordan slagged them off.
Oh the IRONY
In Jordan's defence she appears to be a LOT better mother than that BITCH Katona...
I did find myself comparing them last week to the parents that were in the news for letting the child's granny baby sit her while having two bottles of wine, nine or ten joints and a pitbull outside.
I just want them put away. The fact I keep seeing pictures of them in the newspapers wearing sandals is enough reason for me.
Yeah WE KNOW. We knew FIVE YEARS AGO. We're NO LONGER interested, nay NEVER WERE in your BORING BORING fetish.
In my opinion, it is not the public view that we should hurl abuse at the parents, Jordan and Katona clearly thought they were 'with the public' on that one in their meaningless columns. I actually think it leaves a bad aftertaste because the parents are suffering enough and are enduring the worst punishment there is, so there is no need to state the obvious overtly.
Hung, drawn and quartered PLEASE.
I'd like to see him tarred and feathered
Now we'll have to endure grainy photos of EVERY blonde girl in Morocco on the front pages on the off chance its HER
I'm really annoyed that I don't believe it's them any more. I WANT them to have done it.
How long before the public tire of this story I wonder. Its still going FULL ON
I don't think they have either If only we'd all taken maddie hunt in Edinburgh more seriously though
I can;t see it disappearing anytime soon
I have to admit I was intrigued by the photo story. It really wasn't much more than the woman being convinced that it was her and then being told by the police that it couldn't possibly be because she was dead and then getting the photo out weeks later.
It seems the tabloids are really rounding on the police - there's even some nonsensical story in The Mirror (sorry) about some woman having been convinced she'd seen Madeleine in Morocco with a family (possibly the same as in this photo), ran up to her, lifted her hat and screamed "It's Madeleine McCann" but by the time she could do anything it was too late and they'd gone.
I really thought the parents being made suspects would begin, at least, to draw the story to some kind of resolution but it's seemed to do nothing more than just detract from the main story and create some mini-"did they or didn't they" narrative.
I still like the theory that it's all an elaborate hoax and Maddie never even EXISTED to see how far the media would take the story of the mythical Maddie going missing.
I've been doing this to children in London for the last 6 months. It's my favourite game!
it IS fun but I have to be careful who I'm with when I do it, some people get SO offended
Oh you were the first person I did it with!! I remember! In Edinburgh, stalking that child outside the shopping centre!
I know.... others have accused me of being sick for doing the self same thing
Oh, well I do it with Alex regularly. He is as fucked up as us.
somehow that DOESN'T shock me
GOSH wouldn't *I* like to remind SOMEONE about a little debate on 'maturity' I once had, but can't do that now can I ´
Breaking news: It's not Maddie in that photograph, it's me.
I want Darren Day to be involved. Can't explain why, I just do.
whan an EXCITING life you lead.
to be fair Moonbaby, Alex was on that trip. BOREDOM CONTROL ACTIVITIES were needed
That's the funniest thing you've EVER POSTED
I find it odd that some of my most RUDEST and un-PC friends find Maddie jokes or light hearted McCann poking incredibly insulting.
One of them was FINE to laugh at a joke about Colin McRae and his kid, but he drew the line at the Renualt McCann joke. Ergh!
I did get groaned at for a Colin McRae joke but then, he's Scottish so maybe it's a bit more sensitive up here...
I've spent about an hour this evening doing detective work on Will Young forums. There are some LOVELY Maddie signatures about.
Don't make me go back there
Do it for us.
I'm still waiting for the 'We're Sending Our Love Down The Well' style charity records.
