Well, it's all about the CONFIDENCE, isn't it?
Hi Shaib, speak up dear
It was CHILL BILL, delirium.
Is the guy who owns the house in the video really Tim Byrne? I don't know whether that's something I read or I just made it up
No. They look a bit different.
OH IT SO WAS
Is this Steps best song?
It's well in the bottom half of their singles for me.
It's my least favorite single.
Not in a world where It’s The Way You Make Me Feel exists.
The POTD version feat If You Could Read My Mind is though
I would still rather almost ANY of their other singles having been their second #1.
Stomp to me just sounds so lazily calculated and nondescript.
Objectively it's a fine 6/10.
But what an undeserving single to be their #1. And I hate that it is always in set lists (even small ones) and they advertise the shit out of it because 'it was a number one for us'. Yes, it was, but it sold less than 90% of the other singles, and overall is certainly no fan favourite.
Oddly enough, seeing it live on the tour it did work very well for a performance.
Yeah this is like DiCaprio getting an Oscar, not particularly for that film, but that he was owed one for previous form.
Or like Alan Parson’s Project getting a number one with THAT album about the Cumberland sausages instead of the other one about The Louvre in Paris.
ONE FOR SORROW WAS ROBBED
Stomp teaches important lessons in life for young gays who’ve yet to learn the hardship of 9 to 5
Every Friday when my work is done
I get my party on
I call a few friends of mine
Make sure i’m looking fine
I know we’re going to have a real good time
Stomp is better than the two ballads, Say You'll Be Mine probably and Better The Devil You Know maybe - but that's about it.
It is a bit S Club but does work well as a live performance number I think.
