They've announced the pros so may as well.

Chloe (partner of Moopy favourite AJ, and space filler in the Clauditorium) is confirmed to be departing.

If they have the same number of celebs there will be three spare parts this year. I wonder if Neil Jones will be partnered up, I certainly can't see them not giving the new shirtless Italian a partner? They could decide to rest one or more of the veterans I suppose.

Is Graziano Di Prima an actual name or a cheesy starter?

I agree. Seeing him enthusiastic but passed over yet again would be quite satisfying.

I hope he doesn't get all gym competitive with Gorka.

I expect they will be pushing the TWO ITALIAN STALLIONS angle with Giovanni.

Graziano looks a right greasy sleaze but I probably still would.

Yes, my infatuation was certainly fleeting. Over him already.

ANOTHER black dancer? You BRAVE BBC. What will be my mother-in-law's OBTUSE reason to dislike him this time? :side-eye:

No official confirmation of anyone taking part yet, but will be soon.

The S*n reported that Capital FM DJ Vick Hope is one of the celebrities taking part.

Ooh I wonder which decent but unspectacular soap “hunk” she will come second behind, because the public can’t tolerate someone who can dance joining a dancing competition

I felt it in my water that the lovely Faye would get the call this year. I am pleased - as long as it happens and we don't get H instead.

Ashley Roberts is the latest rumour which should take the heat off Faye as far as having too much experience, if nothing else.

I imagine Ashley will be a bit too American and brash for the SCD audience. I'd be surprised to see her last very long.

She did very well on I'm a Celebrity, but yes the audience is not quite the same and think she may fare less well with voters in a more straight up competition format.

Faye is such a lovely woman that she could do well. I mean Alesha Dixon won it.

Joe Sugg? The BBC has finally caved into ONLINE INFLUENCERS :zombie: Interesting.

QUEEN FAYE aside, it doesn't sound like the starriest line up so far. I am surprised they've gone for Lee Ryan, it feels like he had done the lower rent reality rounds. I don't think I want to know who this influencer is.

Am I right in thinking that Strictly is still the most prestigious of the reality shows for the celebs?

It's probably the least shameful reality show on TV - you're working for the BBC (for what it's worth these days), you have to train for weeks to be even half decent and the tabloids LOVE it.

If I was a Z lister's agent, I'd shove them into this if I could.

I don't really think there's any shame doing SCD at all. I mean obviously a few of them are desperate for a career boost, but it doesn't have the air of desperation that most of the others do.

I guess it's the fact that you have to properly learn and work at it. Obviously that's true of Dancing On Ice as well, but that reeks of cheap, whereas SCD is a really glossy production.

I mean you can probably assume that anyone who has done Dancing On Ice has only really done it because their agent couldn't get them on SCD, surely...

You'd think that but then there are quite a few (more in the early days admittedly) who would have fit on Strictly pretty comfortably. I guess while there are ITV faces on Strictly they are more likely to do DOI - and I suppose some sporty types especially might prefer to learn to skate rather than 'just' dance.

Strictly is definitely a cut above though. They've had the odd one from Hollyoaks, and a few other halves/famous exes but generally they have steered clear of people famous for reality only. When Mark Wright was on, which wasn't received well when announced if I recall, I think they used to announce him as a DJ or something.

Strictly absolutely feels a cut above the others, but I'd be surprised if it was as lucrative as I'm A Celeb in terms of fees.

I thought Strictly did not touch celebrities who have gone on CBB first? Or did I make that up?

I think that SCD is the most aspirational in terms of the audience. There is no shame at being involved because the viewers are not laughing at the contestants but actually rooting for them.

Vanessa Feltz quite memorably did BB but that was years before. I think Goldie has done both as well. There may be a few others but I think they do steer clear generally.

So beautiful scarring victim Katie Piper is the first in, which a reasonably interesting choice. I'm sure I read somewhere that Saint Katie was a huge cunt.

QUEEN FAYE confirmed on The One Show, which is probably all that matters really. The other one looks like Danny John Jules from Red Dwarf.
