Lauren must be getting one of the highest vote numbers at this stage, is it down to AJ? The girl herself is a bit of a sap.

I did also think Faye would be in the dance off before Ashley but the scores have been on her side the last few weeks.

I agree it is Stacey’s to lose.

I’m fairly sure Ashley will be kept in until the semi-final. I think the judges will want the final 3 to be Joe, Faye and Charles.

Obviously they want Lauren out most now, and quite rightly so.

Of the rest of the final five, I don't think the judges will be that concerned. I suspect they may favour Stacey over Faye, though.

lauren and joe have insincere vt persona down to a tea

strictly viewers prefer individuals that have no confidence and make out that they’ve been through ‘so much’ to be where they are / ‘not a threat’ and ‘one of the girls’ like stacey

Bless, Faye seems quite overwhelmed by that well deserved 40.

I don’t understand the marking on this show. Shirley clearly didn’t enjoy that dance at all and picked it to bits but still gave her a 9.

There's two ties on the leaderboard on second and last place so it really is an OPEN RACE tonight. My guess is Charles and Ashley for the bottom two.

I am still recovering from the sight of Bruno Tonioli prancing about in those shorts at the start of last night's show.

Faye was incredible (AGAIN). Some of the other dances had way too much going on with the extra dancers - I would rather they kept them for Blackpool, or at least much more in the background.

Oh bless Faye coming over all emotional. Giovanni's costume looked even more special with him sat on the sofa.

I felt for Ashley there. She won’t go, but it must be frustrating to be so good and realise you are not popular.

Yes when you are right up there with the judges and wind up in the dance off two weeks in a row it must sting.

Personally it is more annoying to see grinning face of hate AJ sailing through yet again.

Unless Lauren's popularity wanes (she must be pulling in huge numbers of votes to be able to escape the dance-off from last place at this late stage), Ashley being in the dance-off could cause a huge upset if she ends up there against Joe or Stacey.

Especially with the ties this week I think Lauren could have been as low as third on the public vote (Joe and Stacey presumably the top two). If she is dead last next week with the judges she'll surely need to do better than that with the public to avoid the dance off.

I still have a horrible feeling about a Faye vs Ashley dance off though. Faye's had two excellent weeks but it depends on the dances she has next week. There is the American Smooth that was dropped due to Giovanni's bad back, and she hasn't done the Argentine Tango yet (though I think only Lauren has). I can't remember a Samba or Salsa yet from Faye so I guess either one of those will definitely be on the cards.

They actually brought back Karen Hardy for Choreography Corner on ITT tonight. Madam seemed to be more in love with herself than ever.

I don't think Faye will be topping the board this week. I do like a bit of I Go To Rio but a Samba is always tricky. Looking forward to her AT though.

I thought that was Les Battersby in the audience, but it was Chris Evans.

    1. Faye :disco:
    2. Ashley - technically better than Faye but I think she overeggs it sometimes

    3. Stacey - I used to like her, now I just TOLERATE her :/

    4. Joe - I use to HATE him, now I DON'T DISLIKE him. Still no great dancer

WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE. Lauren

Who do we think's going to win then?

They've really been so brazen about giving Stacey the winner's edit that I perversely now find myself rooting for anyone but her.

It was Stacey VS Joe until today when he faltered. If his fandom is as big as his social media print he could still snatch it from her.

    I think it’s Stacey’s to lose.

But my GOSH, Faye’s LEGS during that Argentinian Tango. She has the perfect frame for it and none of the others could even HOPE to have produced anything like that. I’d love her to win but I think she’s been consistent and certainly hasn’t had the journey.

I hope it’s at LEAST earned her more lead vocals on the next Steps album though.

BOO at Craig withholding his ten for Faye's stunning Argentine Tango. Also her Samba was very good, much better than I expected when announced. The training clips had looked excellent during the week so I was more hopeful, and I would have loved to see what she could have done with it in a single dance week.

    It has become increasingly grating.

The cheers that she and Kevin get from the audience when introduced always seem much louder than the others. I'm resigned to her winning now.

Faye is getting sabotaged in the press today. She is apparently trained in up to 12 ballroom dances and has more experience than Ashley. :o

There's nothing new in this, it is just her CV that they ran stories on when she was first announced. They aren't ballroom dances, though Salsa is on the list but she hasn't danced this on Strictly. I think Lauren also had Salsa experience, not that you could tell when she came to do it on the show.

Music and Dance are grouped together on her CV and amusingly she is apparently only 'highly skilled' in Aerobics. Not so much the singing apparently...

It's just so tiresome. Not just for Faye and Ashley (and Danny - remember him?) but every year. There are always contestants with previous experience, and it's not like it's hidden. And the ones with no experience certainly bang on about it enough (as do the judges) for the public to be aware of it.
