Sorry; there was a synchonised listening event on The Fall forum the other night and I'm therefore in the throes of relative obsession again.

In other news - fuck me, it's COLD.

Good morning darlings. I have been up since 7, and have been for a run, and prepared Sunday lunch. Now for a lazy day day with the kids watching Christmas films.

I’m off to do a couple of escape rooms today. :disco:

Finally convinced my friends to try the SCARY ONE so I can’t wait.

I've had a TERRIBLY middle class weekend of going to Homebase, which is closing down here and buying STUPID AMOUNTS of house shit for 50% off and getting very excited about it.

I'm still getting over my cold, so I didn't go out at all this weekend, even missed a friend's 40th as I was feeling like crap. Today consists of doing some serious Italian studying as I have a test in a fortnight and I'm a bit behind.

I am trying to hustle, trying to get some writing gigs so I can raise my profile a little bit. So I've managed to get this Muslim organisation to ask me to write something on refugees for the next issue of their magazine.

I really need a couple of major breaks right now.

I'm LYING LOW as I've uncharacteristically volunteered to go to an ALL-DAY STRATEGY MEETING with a well known SOUTH-COAST-BASED ACADEMIC PUBLISHER tomorrow and I DREAD TO THINK what that's going to involve. Apparently POST-IT NOTES are to play a central role :what:

Oh Shirl, I hope it's not one of those where you have to write down your feelings/thoughts and stick them up in on a wall. They are awful. "Be honest" they say. I put up a single post-it and the mood hardens. "OK, that's...honest...which is good....so does anyone have something more constructive?"

I've done almost literally nothing today.

    Hooray for lazy Sundays.

I have made my first batch of mince pies of the season. I think I will resemble one by the time Christmas and New Year are over.

I'm staying in a bed and breakfast in Lyndhurst tonight on my own. I'm concerned I may get murdered. It's like staying at my nan's house. I miss Mandy :(

I remember at the end of my volunteer training we had to write something positive about everyone else on the course and write it on a post it which were then collated and written up:gross:

I'm not sure how much a few women appreciated 'nice handbag', but I rather enjoyed ' a curiously encyclopedic knowledge of Brazilian pornography'.
