Pretty much dragged my carcass out of bed on the basis that I have to go back to work tomorrow so I'll need to get up at some godawful time like 7am.

Why not have a bottle of Crémant to lighten the mood? Cross-substancing ALWAYS does the trick except when it doesn’t :)

I’ve already committed to spending the day in bed drinking coffee and listening to Vladislav Delay.

The big park near spawn's house has signs up asking people to feed the ducks bread because they've been starving during lockdown due to the lack of visitors. Makes me wonder why the ducks don't just fly somewhere else where there's food. Seagulls in the area have been attacking people for food because they can't scavenge enough, she says there are signs up about that too on the seafront.

My local ducks are getting fed whole LOAVES on a daily basis - and grain and lentils and biryani and donner and chips. We're a generous lot. :)

I used to hear big flocks of seagulls cawing and hooting because they were raiding the bins at a nearby quayside development with 7 or 8 food outlets in it. That stopped in the spring and hasn't restarted, even when they were allowed to reopen. I;ve seen a couple of people attacked for food by seagulls, even before all this and they are absolute bastards.

They're quite sweet, really. Unless you try to manhandle their babies at 4am, cos the daddy Swan will grab and drown you. :)

I went to the worlds most depressing zoo in Alabama, and they gave us a cup of unknown pellets and said that they could be fed to all the animals

Anyway I went on a nice big giant walk this morning and I've just had a poke around in the loft for the first time in years. Mostly just boring shit in there like suitcases and old books and murdered runaways, but there were a couple of interesting artefacts in there. If anyone needs Alda's 'Real Good Time' on cassette, then today's your lucky day.

Just went to take dog to a nature reserve we often go to on a weekend.

About 4 times as many people as normal. Fucking lockdown, can't even do normal things because everyone else is bored.

I wish we had more snow in London rather than the dismally pissy, mean-spirited showers we usually get :(

I too have been for a big walk. I am trying to go every day at the moment, while I have nothing going on and the weather is nice. Managed 1.5 hours worth today. I'm including steep hills in all my walks, otherwise it's just not worth it.

Absolutely. Edinburgh is on the same latitude as Moscow and we'll probably only get a couple of days of proper snow across the whole of winter. It's not fair really - I'd quite like to live in a vintage Christmas card for longer than 48 hours.

It's Mr Ag's birthday tomorrow and we're having a French themed meal this evening.

Chicken and liver parfait with warm baguettes for starters.

    DECEASED.
