They should've actually released that instead of DWABH.

Am I the only one who likes Dear Santa?

Hmm on first listen have they just added 4 ballads to a very cohesive uptempo album? NOT SURE ABOUT THIS

It vanished as quick as it came
    But it blinded my eyes
Oh why do I still feel the same?
It all seems like so long ago
    Just a moment in time
And if I could hold you again...

OMG I am OBSESSED with September Sun :disco:

How wonderful to have my Queen Faye as a Humans synth special edition in my mitts this morning. Loving the random DISCO ZEBRA shot in the CD tray. :disco:

September Sun is just wonderful - Paradise Lost meets La Isla Bonita. Beautiful Battlefield is fine, but not sure about Fool For You yet - it is a bit clunky and those processed vocals are a little much. The original tracklisting was nine uptempo stormers and Story of a Heart; I guess the new additions add a bit more variety even if they maybe aren't all as strong as the others. I'm not sure about the new sequencing - Scared of the Dark absolutely should be the opener and probably needs to be separated from Dancing With a Broken Heart.

I do think it sounds like a different album now, but I like it. It probably sounds a bit more like a "typical" Steps album now - certainly more of a natural follow-up to 'Buzz' and I don't think there's anything wrong with that - even if the original version did absolutely serve its purpose.

One thing though, I STILL can't hear any difference between the original 'Neon Blue' and the "radio remix"

I quite like the new tracks. The original album was fabulous, and this compliments it nicely. The remixes are ace too, and I quite like the Xmas one. For a ballad it’s the best I’d expect to be fair.

#6 in midweeks. About where I thought - they’ll be largely frontloaded from pre-orders so hopefully can hang on to the top ten.

Top 10 would be a very good result. Hopefully the Strictly appearance will help pick up the slack from those five CD loon bundles.

First performance of Dancing With...tomorrow on This Morning. Hopefully keeps the album ticking over for a few days to stay top ten.

#54 new entry on airplay which is another solid peak for them 4 singles in.

The This Morning perf showed Lisa has no idea about the DWABH choreo :D I love how they got Lee to mime his vocoder vox too.

OH MY at LSL. There appears to be some mic pack issue involved in the first hiccup, but then it all goes a bit tits up again. Still she gave it a fair go at styling it out as only she can. :D

Not only did they get Lee to mime the vocoder but he was allowed to break rank. Also I never noticed Faye's warbly bit at the end before.

    OMG at LSL :D

Claire looks bored but facially giving me Sharon Stones vibes :disco:

This is the sort of song for them that suits a big set and some miming.

My favourite part of the interview was Holly addressing a question to the band as a whole, Lisa begins to answer, H shouts over her and Lee goes "it's not the H interview"! That man deserves a knighthood put putting up with that for all these years.

Oh you can tell Lee HATES H.

Watched a few initial 2017 interviews a few weeks back and every time H mentions being 'a raving gay so I can treat anyone like a piece of meat' , 'Lee take off your shirt', 'I used to fancy Lee hahahaha' comments the eye rolls and under the breath comments from Lee are rather obvious.

Hopefully the fact that Lee is getting the chance to let his vox shine is enough to make it worth putting up with.

The 3 most important members of Steps really deserve at least OBEs for putting up with the AXIS OF EVIL.

It's better than I imagined, certainly before the midweeks. Let's hope it can stick around as it's a few weeks before sales spike. And at that point they don't even need to be that high to get good numbers, particularly considering what they have managed already.

11k Too. Just under 97k. With the tour and Xmas hopefully should manage a solid 125k which is great.

Just outside the top 40 it appears. Although only 19 of that 40 were albums released this year.

Yep fabulous. #58 in midweeks where I imagine it’ll float now with the tour. So should do 115-120k by the years end. Fabulous result.

That's not bad value for a signed item though really, is it? And I imagine their fan base is very much the demographic who love CD singles.

Given the number of mixes on the CDs, this actually looks like excellent value. Respect. I mean, if Charli XCX or SOPHIE did something like this, I'd be all over it.

Yes they certainly have filled up those CDs. Most of the album tracks have mixes, I think it is just the title track from the original album that is missing.

They must have spent more time signing CDs than in the studio for this album though.

    Saw this last night.

Magnificent as usual. My god at LSL - What a WOMAN. Every single line was delivered with such gusto and desperation, sometimes even a growl :disco:

They’re performing with THE MUPPETS next weekend at the O2 :D

Kylie is appearing on the Friday night, Steps on the Saturday. I can only think they’ll do BTDYK...
