    Is this a classic? It seems @Ellie friendly.

    I watched the 2 hr 30(!) extended cut last night. It's almost ridiculously featherweight - there's basically no conflict until the last 20 minutes or so and even that resolves pretty quickly. Somehow it's just so charming though. There's something to be said for movies where everyone just seems like they're having a great time.

    I remember thinking it looked ghastly, so avoided it entirely. Everything from the fact that Tom Hanks wrote AND directed it, to the subject matter, to the title itself had me running for the hills.

    I used to have a right old crush on Steve Zahn though (:D) so maybe I should have bitten the bullet.

    It's OK. I wish I liked it more. It's very much something to stop on when browsing channels on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
