Somehow I missed Episode 11 - The Final Five. It's on iPlayer, but when was it broadcast?
It was Tuesday evening.
It's tough to call who will go through tonight. Any one of the five could make the final two.
Go on Kala, get your ball out and make a prediction.
The final 5 was on Tues night. It's ok, just gives you background on each person including Frances being 25 abs married with a kid and Jessica having 3 kids
Frances and Alana.
Sugar and Spence
Not sure about Granny's purple eye shadow, especially if she's touting herself as a cosmetics queen.
Courtney's business plan is to make masks out of emotes? Yuck.
Although I would like a manson mask.
I'm not sure about Claude interviewing now he has his other role on the show. Couldn't we have had Ricky Martin Nude again, or better yet Margaret?
Lynda La Plante on the other hand
I really don't understand Courtney's voice.
I thought Alanna was rushing off to the toilet there.
It makes great TV, especially when the candidates are mostly dreadful, but if anyone spoke like that to me in an interview I'd tell them where to stick it.
Alanna is getting whiter by the second.
I'm sure in previous years there was a bit more substance to these interviews and they felt a bit more serious. Or is it just that they are all pretty useless this year?
NEWS: Courtney invents Pez
It's all a bit laughy and jokey for my liking.
Lust & Lies? Sounds like a Stevie Nicks bside.
Grainne clearly realised just how shit her idea was.
The synchronised water break was well done, just a missed opportunity not to plug Colony Gin again.
Sugar repeating about how he knows Courtney's business worries me.
No Natalie back next week? BULLSHIT DARLING
Courtney should design a Tracy Beaker beaker.
Disappointed for Frances, under the old format she'd be one of the most employable people to have in Amstrad or whatever it's called these days.
I'm either tired of the programme or the two business ideas are really boring, but I can't say I care that much about who gets the investment this time.
Oh well. Alana FTW
I just had a flashback to this
Sara Pascoe FTW
Now that I'm thinking about it, to be fair to Grainne, there has been a business I heard about listening to a podcast, that became extremely successful and was based on the efforts of one woman (a Brit actually) training beauty professionals in the early 80s in the US and selling some equipment with it and doing it all herself. I think the brand is called Dermalogica.
Is Jessica performing a cabaret number after?
What is she wearing???
She has big 80's hair and a green sparkly dress.
I'm actually watching it too. The question was more a surprise reaction to the horror that I saw coming into the studio. For a fashion professional, I think she hasn't sold herself very well on this one.
I think they should hire Courtney to design the farewell gifts to the fired candidates. They're really shit.
Was breaking that case intentional?
They always have been. But they used to be kind of funny shit. Now they are just shit shit.
Don't they always have to do like a big product launch and presentation for the final? I'm looking forward to Courtney's already.
Oh well I was nearly right!
If Courtney wins this it's a fucking joke. He is one of the worst pitchers ever to appear on the show. Who would buy from him? Sure Alana started off weak and has a small business at the moment but to be making £39k from a turnover of £75k is bloody impressive.
I really dislike how this show turns into a bad Dragon's Den episode at the interview stage these days with this "business plan" nonsense. It's like the last 10 weeks amount to nothing.
Well, they do show how the candidates cope under pressure and if they're team players, if they're good at presenting/pitching products and all sorts of stuff that just by presenting a written business plan would not be easy to know or guess or take the word of the candidate.
