Lord Sugar gathers the candidates at Somerset House, where he reveals that they are to become fashion agents, selling garments for designers.

They must select a designer, plan and organise a catwalk show and put together a magazine cover to supplement their sales campaign.

One team's lack of fashion sense leads to handbags at dawn, and a no-frills magazine pitch ruffles a few feathers. A bad negotiation leaves the other team exposed, and further embarrassment comes from mismatched information about their chosen designer.

In the boardroom, candidates have to button up whilst Lord Sugar unravels the task and gives them a dressing down, as he decides who is so last season - 'You're fired!'.

OH GOD at Claude's face watching James. Other than to flatter his ego, I'm not sure why they needed him to do the catwalk. I understand that models are capable of getting changed.

There's no limit to that coat?

Well, you wouldn't get through the doors on the tube in it, for a start.

Well Jade was awkward. Poor surplus to requirements Harrison.

Surely either Jade (where the problems lie) or Harrison for doing nothing. Just depends who he wants to get rid of.

Although I suppose Sarah could be blamed for not stepping up in the first place.

Elizabeth's reaction to the win and reward has been priceless. The dramatic arm grab, the gasp: EPIC.

Yes I'm not sure between Jade or Harrison. Sarah's stock definitely seems to have dropped recently though.

I can't believe Joanna is in the final five.. She's done nothing but whinge the whole series. It should be Jade there instead of her.

To be fair, Joanna DID smash that task and as fashion is part of her business idea then she deserves it based on that. Jade made some poor decisions but overall was a decent enough candidate.

Next week will be interesting - I don't think Liz is going to be able to control herself, Michaela's business past is going to come back to haunt her and Joanna's inexperience is going to show, so I stick by my original prediction of Sarah v James in the final.

Not the strongest final five we have had by a long shot, I must say.

I think that's a product of the standard of the candidates being generally poor overall ability-wise. But I have to say I've found this series to be the most entertaining for years!

I don't think it's the best group of candidates by far, but I do think that over the last few series the tasks seem to be more and more designed to make the candidates stumble and look like real twats, rather than giving them the opportunity to shine.

and yes, I agree with Kala entirely about Joanna. There's a real case that she shouldn't have made it this far, but given that she has done, she absolutely deserves her place in the final five based on that task alone. Had she lost the task she clearly would have been toast - Sugar would have (rightly) criticised her both for losing a task in her area of expertise, and for being useless on most of the others.

Oh and clearly Liz ISN'T going to control herself in the interviews, judging by that preview clip :D

I dearly hope Liz takes Linda Plant DOWN :disco:

I don't like Joanna or her whinging on all previous episodes, but can't deny that the task was won because of the great commission percentage she managed to get out of the designer.
I really do hope Liz has a good business plan.
James vs Sarah would be absolutely boring.

Are we going to get a 'the final five' show this year like we usually do? Even if it's only iPlayer.

Elizabeth :disco: "WORK it, work ALL OF IT!"

Why did Joanna want James to look like Mark Owen circa 1993? Typical example of one of them getting swallowed up in their own vanity at the expense of the task. Claude trying to suppress his smirk :D

Those fonts Elizabeth's team used for their front cover was so basic. The other team's was much more magazine. Despite that, I'm glad they won as the clothing line choice was much more sensible.

Jade's catwalk spiel... fucking hell. She may as well have spoken in Welsh. Harrison blatantly was going, I'm not sure what he has done the entire series. Jade fucked it too much basically.

I noticed in this week's episode when they were choosing the decoration for the catwalk they were reading from a binder that offered some 'options' - they do seem to be fairly limited in what they can do, never mind their budgets. There's also little 'real business acumen' in faffing around in a car in groups of FOUR trying to guess what a 'cloche' is whilst looking up local businesses in the Yellow Pages when you could task each person with finding one item and look everything up on the Internet. It makes for entertaining car-crash telly but it involves ZERO real business skills.

It stopped being about looking for someone with real business skills YEARS ago. Everyone watches the show for the fuck ups. Same way everyone watches X Factor for, oh wait a minute...

He can't seriously have James in the finale? He's ridiculous and look like he's 12.

Liz unfortunately will not escape the interviews nor will Joanna with her attitude.

Michaela and Sarah for the finale unless their business plans are awful.

I think Michaela is too aggressive. She's a good seller but I don't like her attitude. Also the fact she is over £100k in debt due to unpaid debts rings alarm bells. That cannot be overlooked surely?

Jade was a good candidate but that final boardroom really showed her and Harrison up as immature youths, desperately trying to trip each other up. Sarah totally buried Jade by giving factual reasons for the loss, and that was that.

It will annoy me if that alone does exclude her, because no doubt it would have been known throughout the entire process.

There's something about Sarah that screams runner up to me. You can well imagine out of the 5 left she would give the best interview, but it's all still a little flat somehow.

Yeah, she reminds me of Perfect Helen who lost out to Tom.
