Let's see if there's enough interest for a thread each week again...
DRINK every time LADY BRADY gives a WITHERING LOOK
Diddums and Don't Care!
I have my class on Wednesdays till 9 and just on the train home now so will miss the live chat
Have I missed them picking team names?
Perhaps they are saving that treat until later.
They all seem even more shouty than usual.
That eye piercing looks like it might be a bit uncomfortable.
The project manager is on thin ice here.
She's a bit WET isn't she? I don't see working class northerner going anywhere, so either of the other two, or of course both.
Oh I AM surprised
Didn't see that one coming.
I thought working class Northerner was going to be a series staple. I think Jackie may have potential.
Hopefully Lord Sugar, Karen, and Claud manage to bring the male team leader down a peg or two throughout the process.
I didn't know this was back already! I'll watch it later, is there an Elizabeth this year?
She's coming across as pretty THICK and unbearable on You're Fired. So I'm a bit less surprised now.
No one really filled that role for me.
Was she the one at that Lord Sugar said talks too much at the beginning of the show?
The girl she was locking horns with over haggling tactics looks like she will be a right piece of work.
Poor Fishlips, I thought she’d be safe.
JACKIE FAST! What a snake Khadija is awful too - I hope she goes far.
She appears drunk or high on You're Fired, it's pretty embarrassing.
Doesn’t Jasmine look like Ruby from Bake-Off.
Do you think? I don’t see it.
Khadija! It looks like she makes another girl cry next week. She seems a DELIGHT.
The best moment of the night has to be the guy that asked how much the total was, and got it down by a whole cent.
I want to know where the house is.
Wow... I can normally spot the person going a mile off when it gets to the final 3. Thought there was absolutely no chance that Fishlips was going and was convinced the editing was saying goodbye Jackie...
But I am VERY happy Jackie stayed. There is something about her that strikes me as her being one of the best villains of all-time. She was pretty bad this episode, but there's something almost Days Of Our Lives-esque about her cunning ways and I think it will get worse with time...
What does this get in viewing figures? I seem to remember a few years back it was HUGE.
Oh, apparently it's the same as last year. Disappointing.
My goodness. A good first episode - using one of the better series tasks to launch the show was definitely preferable to the usual “market stall on the streets of London” launch task.
I couldn’t take my eyes off of the girls - the LIPS, the SIDE-EYES. What a hot mess team.
Slightly down on last year but same audience share and particularly strong in the 16-34 bracket, which apparently is desirable for the BBC.
I’d imagine the iPlayer numbers will easily shift it over 5 million and apparently last year the second show jumped up by 500,000.
I know it's a bit down on its glory days, but it feels to me like a show that has plateaued and found a comfortable level, rather than X Factor which is on a downward spiral and feels like it.
Obviously I realise those figures are below what X Factor gets even now, but then it never was THAT big anyway. Wikipedia tells me the highest rated final was 8.8m seven years ago, so for the first episode to be getting half that on overnight figures this far down the line doesn't seem too bad.
If anyone else is watching tonight, feel free to start an episode two thread. I'm otherwise engaged and will be catching up on iPlayer later.
I would have sacked all 3 of them to be honest. That comic was a pile of crap.
Do they REALLY only have 20 minutes to get ready in the morning?
The men were dreadful this week - good to see Queen Jackie as Heroine of the Hour.
Definitely the worst candidate went this week.
The girls was also full of flaws but at least it was quite quirky.
I’m not sure about the worst to be honest. I could have put up a good argument for all three.
JACKIE FAST! QUEEN!
I thought Khadija seemed quite SINCERE when she apologised and said she was proud of her team.
And although she was a bit of a dictator, the girls were such a shitshow last week, it’s probably exactly what they needed.
I can't stand insipid people - which is what he was.
I agree. I suppose it’s to his credit that you could at least say he’s open and honest, even if you probably wouldn’t ever want him on your PR team.
Frank’s SNIVELLING at the end was a little pathetic, mind.
