Jamie Reed, the charmingly centrist RED TORY SCUM Labour MP for Copeland is apparently resigning today. He had a majority of 2500 over the Tories last year. Copeland voted Leave by a 62/38 margin.

At least John Woodcock is there to keep up the fight.

I wish it could wait until after Article 50.

There's no official mention in the usual place on HM Treasury's website, and his letter implies he will only resign at the end of January, so timing works quite well for me for a catestropic Labour performance.

These are local election gains and losses since the elections in May, and doesn't include those Parish Council elections that the evil mainstream media don't over as part of their efforts to undermine Labour.

    Based on those numbers:

    Labour: 14,908
    Conservative: 12,059
    UKIP: 5,964
    Lib Dem: 1,381
    Green: 1,179

    But by-elections are crazy ja?

The big question is whether Labour put up a remainer or a racist moron.

Paul Nuttall has declined from standing for UKIP as his priority is sorting out his shitshow of a party.

I can see the Lib Dems getting more than 3% with a cynical and unashamed pro-EU campaign, but whether they take votes of the Tories or Labour is anyone's guess.

It was 62% leave in Copeland. Not very convenient.

In the very unlikely event that it becomes a four-way race, the winner would probably only need 30% to win. Not impossible from ~17,000 Remain votes. Just deeply unlikely. But having Tim Farron's local machine next door can't hurt.

In what sense is it cynical? The Lib Dems have always been ferociously pro-European. It's a convenient cause, certainly, but there's nothing craven about the stance at all.

The Lib Dems seem to be working super hard to get back into things. Sure it's only one seat at present, but I guess they're the only ones undamaged from Brexit.

Only cynical in that with such a diminished role in the House of Commons any influence they have is minimal.

If they did take a quarter or third of the Remain vote that could be the difference between Labour holding or the Tories winning, depending on whatever the message is that Labour go with.

There's no such thing as minimal influence when a government has a majority of 10.

BLAIRITE RED TORY LIBERAL ELITE SCUM RATS LEAVING A SHIP THAT ISNT SINKING IN THE SLIGHTEST

Had a 5000 majority with UKIP second last year, in a staunchly pro BREXIT seat.

And in news you won't hear about because of the biased mainstream media, Labour did fantastically in a council by election last night, going from first to second place behind the Lib Dems.

Paul Nuttall will be standing in Stoke. He'd be a fantastic successor to darling Tristram, another sexy academic.

The Telegraph, The Financial Times, ITV news and most importantly the failing pile of garbage Buzzfeed have reported the Nuttall thing.

Apart from him being a cunt, why on earth does Paul Nuttall keep dressing like this?

The Stoke by election is is getting some unwanted media attention after no one in Labour HQ advised their candidate to delete his twitter account or at least cleanse it, and as a result some embarrassing tweets about wanting to give Deirdre Barlow (RIP xx) a good slap and insulting the Loose Women panel and accusing Big D of talking crap and what not have been reported.

But naturally UKIP want to trump Labour so Squire Nuttall has admitted that while he absolutely definitely swear-on-his-mother's-life WAS at Hillsborough on 15th April 1989, he absolutely definitely DIDN'T lose a close personal friend that day, as has been stated on his personal website for numerous years.

As embarrassing as Labour can be that is nothing compared to the filth that UKIP come out with. We need to stop normalising them.

It would be HILARIOUS if he had to resign as UKIP leader and they got Nige back in AGAIN.

They should have just got Eddie Hitler to stand in Stoke.

Paul Nuttall's now admitted he made up 'close friends' at Hillsborough.
