Anyone watching this? The film terrified me as a child, and I love a bit of Henson studios so I'm eating this up with a spoon. Fabulous voice cast, too.

The puppetry is truly incredible. It must have cost an absolute fortune to produce, so I'm sceptical that we'll get any more of it - it's a fairly niche source material to adapt from.

Simon Pegg absolutely nails The Chamberlain, it's uncanny. Lena Heady playing yet another imperious queen too. :disco:

I love the original film but two episodes of this were enough for me. The Gelflings were always borderline irritants and having three of them front and centre of this is a right turn off.

Love the use of puppets in general and the Skeksis look and sound amazing. The lore of the original really didn't stand up to much scrutiny and turning it into a ten hour show makes the whole thing collapse in on itself.
