Carries Preston (Elsbeth Tasconi) is confirmed to have an arc and Barnadette Peters and Paul Guilfoyle (the police detective from CSI) will play Rose Leslie's parents.

Ugh no, they never knew how to write Kalinda beyond hot woman who has sex with people for information. All her storylines were terrible.

Cush is a biblical name, isn't it? Although a man's one at that. And that's before you get on to Jumbo.

Cush Jumbo is an Olivier award nominated actor who's been in Casualty. Kate Winslet has also been in Casualty but has never been nominated for an Olivier.

    LET'S GO.

Does this mean "Not Myself Tonight" is the theme song? Either way, I'm here for this.

Saw the first episode last night. Absolutely loved it. What a great start, especially the opening scene of Diane's bewildered expression watching the presidential inauguration.

I loved this, it's so exciting to be back in the same space but slightly different. I am now downloading the second episode and can't wait to watch it, it's a shame that it's only 10 episodes.

I enjoyed the court bits but the Rose Leslie stuff seems like it's a different show.

Can we talk about the overly dramatic opening credits? My favorite everyday object getting blown is the shoe what is yours?

But yes, loving the show. The pilot was solid but episode 2 and 3 have been sensational. I like that it's still very much got TGW DNA in there, but it feels like a different thing entirely too. Of course the best thing about the original, the incredible courtroom scenes, are just as good here. All we need is a special guest appearance from Patrice Lessner to add the cherry on top.

For me The Good Wife went downhill when the court scenes and the story of the week became secondary to various bits of political tit for tat involving Peter or Alicia running for office, or the ENDLESS upheaval at the law firms (how many times have Diana and Alicia dramatically quit/been fired/been ousted and set up a new firm now?) which got really quite ridiculous. Some of the best episodes from seasons 1-4 were the really memorable legal stories, like the jury and death row episodes. They lost that over time.

I've only seen the pilot of this but I really enjoyed it. I just hope Diana stays FIRMLY PUT at this new firm and they focus on the actual cases at HAND.

Elsbeth BACK to take on Matthew Perry's turkey neck was a 12455/10 moment. As was Diane's quiet power play at the end of the episode :disco:
