Imagine my surprise when I'm re-watching the brilliant Getting On on Netflix and who should pop up...

Not only did I not realise she had been in this, but she's also British and has a name like CUSH JUMBO :disco:

She had quite a big role in City of Tiny Lights with Riz Ahmed which might still be playing at cinemas now.

Erika Tazel will not be a series regular on season 2, Julius and the cute detective are series regulars and Audra McDonald will join.

Interesting to see where they go with Julius, he was one of the least well developed characters this season.

The first episode of this was good - not outstanding but pretty good but OMG at the possibilities it has rolled out for the next dozen episodes.

Diane microdosing and not giving a fuck anymore "Just appreciating your style :disco:", Colin vs Lucca, more Marissa

    GIMME.

Not the best stretch of episodes, although I liked the case in the latest episode. They’re doing that thing where they try to cram in a whole bunch of current news stuff and it just doesn’t fit in a world of chum hum.

I like that Audra is playing an undercover villain.

Also more Marissa and hot investigator please.

Third episode was the best because we're finally finished with the Henry Rindell shit. Diane's back to being a total QoL too: "Good... and fuck you" :)

    Episode 4 was AMAZING tv.

Particularly relating to Diane since the clock on my watch is also at "20 past I don't give a fuck anymore" these days.

i'm really struggling with this but it has its moments. lucca rejecting marriage (she'd better not change her mind in a couple of episodes) was one.

it's got it easy though, they could literally make a show about baranski cackling and i'd keep watching.

I think they're leaning into the cackling too much.

I wish they'd stop and do a couple of regular episodes before the whacky ones. They need to establish the season a bit more.

Kill all lawyers is the Kalinda husband of the series. It just does not work.

I still love it and will watch regardless but I have issues.

I'm also having issues. They've taken everything that worked perfectly in moderation and hung an entire show on it and it's just not up to the same level as season one. It's still eminently watchable but it just needs to ground itself a bit.

Loved the new episode, it was funny and witty without being too on the nose. The Luca stuff was cool and I like the new opposing lawyer.

This is the closest to a Good Wife episode in a while.

The Trump episode was the worst so far and I was going to come in and say that this week’s episode was better only to see that next week is another trump episode

The second half has improved quite a bit, the me too episode was fun and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the ICE episode with so many judges.

One more episode left, I hope they figure out what to do with Luca for next season.

Production for season 3 has started. Justin Bartha allegedly dropping out.

Took season 2 a while to get going; but jeez once it did it was the best TV of the spring. When reality has become so absurd that it outdoes anything a writers room could spin up, why not have the characters collide with reality - and it worked.

That's a shame. I did wonder where they were heading with his storylines and how they would keep him about.

FINALLY caught up with this. Loved this scene, and Judith Light playing Lucca’s mum!

The Impeach Trump stuff is a little too ubiquitous throughout this season. I get that it’s topical, but why would a bunch of lawyers in Chicago be in any way influential?

so this has started and i am very happy to report that i loved the first episode after being rather underwhelmed by the previous season.

enjoyed the tone veering between the serious and perfectly ridiculous, i like how it handled the central issue and there was some good acting (i loved liz reddick for the first time and ms lockhart as per). let's hope it follows through *.*

This continues to be great. Marissa has been stealing scenes in the first three episodes like J.Lo's stealing songs.

    A joy.

Anyone notice the episode titles for this series are all “The One With...” like Friends?

I can’t decide whether I love or hate Michael Sheen in this. I’m verging on hate as it’s just getting ridiculous now with far too much satire. I must say after re-binge watching The Good Wife recently, the writing on The Good Fight really doesn’t compare or even hold a candle to it.

Regarding Michael Sheen, I was also definitely not keen. I haven't been completely sold on the first two episodes to be honest. Christine Baranski is obviously fabulous but quite bored of all the stuff with her Republican husband.

It's on a warning for me. If the next two episodes don't turn things around dramatically (and Michael Sheen doesn't fuck off or turn it down about 7 notches) then it's dropped.

I've just watched last week's episode. Michael Sheen singing I'll Be There... REALLY.

Justin Bartha for this was not a fair swap.
