New comedy from Mike Schur (Parks and Recreation & Brooklyn Nine Nine) starring Kirsten Bell & Ted Danson

It's weird and a bit of a high concept to survive on NBC but I thought the pilot was hilarious and the subsequent episodes have all been delightful.

It feels quite NETFLIX, which I guess is high praise these days? If ratings hold up as is (1.3/1.4) it should be fine because NBC are really trying to rebuild something comedy wise after a few disastrous years.

It's consistently very funny and charming and the casting is all pretty much on point. I love the random flashbacks to the largely ABSURD lives before they came to the good place. I know it can't sustain them forever, but for now every episode has been good to great.

This is one of my favourite things (on TV, I'm not Oprah) at the moment. The premise is so much more ambitious than the usual network sitcom crap and it's a likeable cast, although it is weird seeing some random woman off T4 turn up on it.

I'm really loving season 2, real Eleanor is my favorite side character.

Janet's repeated 'deaths' in episode 3 and the amazing fast food names were absolute GENIUS. Season 2 has been going from strength to strength, I was really worried it would be a bit of a mess (like most high concept series after an amazing first season).

does this get better after season two? cause it's utter rubbish for now - i saw episodes 1 and 2 when they came out and now i'm giving it another chance thanks to the positive reaction i'm seeing but midway through episode 4 there is still barely anything to hold on to. awful characters and acting, rubbish plot, bad jokes (bud-hole? 104% perfect like beyonce? she's very happy but very intense?).

    i don't get it. it's shit.

"Fun Fact: Janet is ME" lol what a ridiculous show. In a light-hearted binge-worthy kinda way.

It's very serialized, I don't think you should skip season 1 if you want to watch season 2. Also it's pretty much more of the same.

    This is an adorable series

I never expected to respect JAMEELA from T4 as a comedy actress, but "my torture involves EVENT PLANNING MISHAPS?!"

Love this. Great cast - even fucking Jameela - and Janet is completely amazing.

I've just caught up and now it is a wait to be drip fed in January.

Feels like the second season is over so soon and quite the wait until it returns. The plot is getting more twisty, hopefully everything is planned out and they don't burn through stuff too quickly or back themselves into a corner.

I know it was a cheap gag but I do miss 'what the fork?!' et al slightly.

How pleasing that this is back and with a double episode too. The new reboot feels like it is going to turn out just fine.
