I CANT STAND KIM JOYS FACE
When I get a new oven, im definitely going to get one with a door that slides in and out.
If Manon leaves over Gay Dad I'll be really pissed off.
That's going to happen though, isn't it?
What a result. at penis baby's escalating panic with each disastrous round and Ruby talking herself out of offering him any assistance.
Didn't a door break on one of the previous series? Opening the oven would be much more exciting but I'm not sure I would trust it.
Whatsisface drinking the raw egg white made me RETCH
All the tears.
Rahul may be a treasure but that result felt seriously IFFY.
Rahul really flopped. I thought he was out.
NOT here for Rahul failing three times and yet Manon going home because she was TOO FRENCH.
Fuck you, Prue and Paul, you Brexity bastards.
I LOOOOOOVE RAHUL SO MUCH but he has gone a bit shit so I want Kim-Joy to win now. Cutesy Japanese animals on EVERYTHING PLEASE.
Oh I think that’s a Neff oven
I’d like that or an Aga but that’s probably a bit silly in a one bedroom flat
Kim-Joy looks like a right loon
Rahul's Debbie Downer schtick has really worn out its appeal with me now. Crack a fucking smile, you're only baking cakes. No wonder he doesn't have any friends.
KimJoy to win I guess, but her constant tears when things don't go her way come off a bit on the petulant side too.
They’re all a bit TEARFUL this year.
I think Kim-Joy’s decorations have been consistently brilliant though.
I’m neither here nor there on Ruby - she’s been undeniably GOOD throughout, but never really wowed me. And I find her a bit too camera trained.
I cannot bear Rahul. I feel that even if he wins he would just stand there wincing about a negative comment Paul gave him in week two.
I went off Rahul WEEKS AGO, his schtick got old fast
Although I did appreciate when Noel asked him how he was and he responded 'alive'
Surprised to see that on consolidated viewing figures this is second only to the Strictly Saturday show in the ratings - 9.28m after one week. It gets the largest time shifted views of any programme - 2.4m for this, with The Apprentice (1.81m) and Doctor Who (1.69m) next.
It’s still comfortably a pretty big deal. But the general furore around it has definitely died down (a bit like what happened with The Apprentice, really).
What a load of shit. Dips?
The show shoppers were terrible!
Almost 400 less posts than last year.
I kept forgetting it was on, and then just kind of thinking 'oh well', rather than bothering to catch up on All 4 or whatever.
I remained quite fond of Rahul, but then I haven't seen it for three weeks. I assume his crowning was no Nadia moment. Still one of my favourite TV moments EVER.
Awwww. Mr Kate turned up just after Rahul was announced and wondered why I was all tearful
The technical and showstoppers were both rubbish
Rahul felt like the right winner for the episode but given he probably should have left twice I was a bit miffed for the others
I just don't understand how the showstoppers were quite so bad. I mean, Rahul won with a SLUDGE RIVER ffs. It was hilarious how Prue and Paul were trying so hard to find things to compliment given that this was the final showstopper. It was sort of like "Well it looks like a cat has vommed on this but it tastes just LOVELY"
The showstoppers were so unappetising and that pitta technical was a joke.
I liked all three of them so was happy with the result. Ok Rahul probably should have gone the week Manon did but I thought the semi result seemed fair.
It certainly was NOT - and given his rather poor showing the last few weeks, it felt like an even more blatant attempt to recreate the “humble winner who didn’t believe in themselves” moment.
On the basis of the final, I thought Kim-Joy should have won - although the showstoppers were universally dreadful and I suppose, as is right for the show, the winner was judged on taste. That’s quite hard to qualify onscreen though, especially when so much emphasis is put on design.
Easily the worst final yet, for the worst series yet.
Yeah, I can't even be arsed to watch the final.
Was it just poor casting of contestants?
They were all quite blah to me. It may be a case of what more can they physically give them to do that wows the viewers? The showstoppers are getting worse and the fact they had them essentially barbecuing in the final is woeful.
