Are you ready to guess who's BEHIND THE MASK?! Welcome to The Masked Mooper! Yes, the next iteration of the much-loved () karaoke contest has been given a little twist Here's how it's going to work: If you would like to be a SINGER, please select the appropriate option in the (anonymous) poll and then PM me so I know who you are. Over the course of the contest, I will require the following from you: A masked character to hide your identity. This can be anything you like - you can raid the dressing up box, repurpose household objects, whatever you like. THREE videos of you in costume. One will be you singing a song. One will be you mincing about or talking to camera, with your voice disguised (I can do this digitally for you if preferred) - this is your CLUE PACKAGE, and you can include cryptic hints about your identity in this. The third video will be of you removing the mask and revealing your identity. Your utmost discretion - the secret will be safe with me. There is no theme or requirement when it comes to song choice, though I suppose something related to your character could be fun! I am also looking for a selection of JUDGES, who in the run-up to the event will be shown the clue package and performance of ONE masked singer - the judge will make a short video reacting to the performance and making some guesses about the identity of the performer. If you agree to be a judge, your video WILL be included in the gala show so please keep that in mind. I would also ask for discretion as you will be privy to some of the secrets prior to the big night. If you are a singer you can also apply to be a judge, although I will give first refusal to those who aren't singing. On the night we will have a fabulous gala event hosted by The Asexual Goose - we'll watch the clues, songs and judges' reactions followed by a series of TIMED POLLS where Moopy will vote on who should be unmasked. The unmasking videos will be revealed at the appropriate times, until we have our winner. The current CLOSING DATE for singers to send me their stuff is SUNDAY 28th FEBRUARY, but I'm open to pushing that back a bit if required. I want to make sure everyone has plenty of time for this, as I'm aware this one will be a bit more involved than the previous karaoke contests. I think this is a superb idea Obviously, filming a performance is a logistical nightmare in this house but filming reaction videos is entirely doable so I'd be happy to judge.
I think if I was the only female entrant it might be a bit of a giveaway though unless I somehow digitally lower my voice. Oh and BIND MY TITS
Oh I should probably say, we're doing this instead of the previously announced Eurovision national finals edition because it turns out barely any of those songs seem to have karaoke tracks available for them! Sorry about that

I know we have more SHOW QUEENS than this on Moopy, let's see you I'll confirm again that if you're a singer you'll get PLENTY of time to get your costume and videos together, currently thinking at least a month or so.
It is, of course, a magnificent idea - the creativity of Moopy has been such a delight. As with the current ASFMs, I can't commit to the time involved in doing this justice so I'm content to be in the audience.

Currently thinking of setting SUNDAY 21ST FEBRUARY as the deadline for singers to send me their stuff, if that helps anyone decide whether or not to sign up! I'm ideally looking for at least ten singers, though the more the merrier of course (and we can still have a good show with around six or seven I'd say).
