I feel the return of CHAIR needs to be elevated into Divas and not thrown into that cum-infested cesspit (not always a bad thing) that is Music for Gayers.

Cher to Celebrate Release of New Single ‘Woman’s World’ With Performance on Final Episode of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ on Tuesday, June 18th

New Cher Studio Album Scheduled for September 24th — First New Album in 12 Years on Warner Bros. Records

BURBANK, CA–(Marketwired – Jun 10, 2013) – Cher will be performing the song “Woman’s World,” the first single from her upcoming and highly anticipated new studio album on the season closer of NBC’s “The Voice,” it was announced today. This will be Cher’s first live TV performance in over a decade.

“Woman’s World” will be simultaneously released digitally on June 18th when fans can pre order Cher’s new album on iTunes, Amazon or Cher.com.

Most recently Cher co-hosted the TNT “Women in Film” Series with Robert Osborne and produced the Lifetime show “Dear Mom, Love Cher” which aired last month and is expected to be released on DVD later this year.

Cher counts Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and several Golden Globes amongst her long list of awards. Her multi-platinum “Believe” album which sold 20 million copies contained the single “Believe” selling 11 million copies. Cher is the only artist to have a No. 1 single on the Billboard pop charts in each of the last six decades.

Bite your tongue! You can't use Cher's iconic "WTF is MDNA" (best shade of 2012 award) against the Queen!

    Yay.

I hope she sees sense and changes the lyric from 'tell the truth' to 'have a truth'.

Finally! :disco: (not as if it hasn't already swept through Fire Island) I'm holding out for a spectacular video. Even better than Strong Enough's one, though she is free to retain the 'young people being hip' around her as she dances solo on the club floor.

Isn't this the one that was uploaded onto YouTube in MARCH and sounds like something even RUPAUL would cast off?

Yes but the rest of the album will have some amazing gems on it. As Cher said on her Twitter, the vocals on this album will be crazy - trust!

Her disco albums "Prisoner" and "Take Me Home" are worth the £3 you can usually pick the compilation "The Casablanca Years" up for, which holds them both...

Sometimes I forget there was a pre-'80s Cher, which I know is rather blasphemous..

In fact I think I need to bump straightorbroken's Cher albums thread. I felt that was the ALPHA AND THE OMEGA in Cher education.

I'm gutted we never got a European edition of that: the One By One (Jr Vasquez edit), Taxi Taxi AND Love Is The Groove medley was fantastic (I squealed). For some reason I can't comprehend, I went and got a "dramatic make-up consultation" at YSL in Frasers before going, but wore completely normal clothes. I've just been looking through old snaps (sadly physical ones) and it's all came flooding back. I insist we clocked eyes, but it never sounds believable.

I also am fond of the "Dark Lady" album, which I have on vinyl. I picked up "3614 Jackson Highway" in HMV a few months back for £3, but I'm yet to bother sampling it...
