Yes but Dancing on Ice is a ridiculous low-rent show, Strictly/DWTS has more of a veneer of professionalism. Even the less qualified judges like Alesha Dixon and Jennifer Grey had extensive dance training and were former show winners. (Plus even if Bunton wasn't an ice skater, she HAD taken dance training on Strictly and at Silvia Young...)

Obviously I can't wait to see how she does, but has Cher ever done a dance routine in her entire CAREER? :D

That excuse is even thinner than her hair.

3:38 onward in particular, but the whole thing is a trifle :disco:

She's wonderful. She's completely right about Miley and Sinead.

The movie stuff is exciting. She seems to be aware that doing a less than glamorous part would be the best way to get acclaim on the silver screen again. Also, I think she's looking brilliant lately. The lips aren't quite so 'stood on worms' kind of weird to look at, and she's a properly handsome older lady. We even seen her forehead move at the end of the X-Factor performance. It was a moving moment in more ways than one. Also, completely on point with the Miley stuff.

Seemingly. I'm totally on board with this overboard choice. However, I do think Sirens is the very best song on the album and don't think I will forgive her if she misses it off the D2K setlist.

I thought I'd add to the pop overload of today and have finally splashed out on this. Let's see boys!

All CHAIR fans should take a seat to be made aware that Come Back To The 5 and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean is finally being released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 18 November. I've never seen it, but have heard nothing but good things. She gave up promoting a flop album to take the part on Broadway, which she loved, but hated making the movie becaaus she was unsure as to why the director paid her little attention (unaware that he felt he didn't have to as he loved what she was doing). During the play's 50-or-so show run, backstage she was offered Silkwood with Meryl Streep, but she had to accept it without reading the script (although I'm sure with her dyslexia it wouldn't have made a difference!). JD, JD is arguably the first point in Cher's career where she wasn't an industry punchline (or for the best part of a decade at least). She was now a dead ringer for Hollywood royalty.

According to all sources, Red is getting the green light for the next leg.

I got my mucky Indian Squaw paws on the original/demo version of it last week (I'll be putting it into her excess skin bin after I post this), and it's not dissimilar, just refreshing to hear the elements opened out and re-arranged, not to mention a discarded gritty, but unfinished sounding, middle 8. It's a lot less lavish, but still locked in the same bombastic groove.

After having been ill for some months now, and with multiple show postponements since last performing in early July, she finally cancelled the tour last night. Although the press release is fairly positive this has clearly been much more serious than she had let on. I hope she pulls through. :(

I'll need to watch that, but saw on Instagram. She's looking more handsome than ever, so much so I think she could pull off a big screen role without looking like an easy target for familiar punchlines. C'mon Cher, give us another It's A Man's World - first single This Is A Song (For Chaz) out soon.

What I wouldn't give for Cher in a hard-hitting dramatic role again (or ANY role at all to be honest). Oscar #2 please

Yes, and with Meryl. Put Cher in a strong female ensemble cast and I am in Oscar-bait heaven.

That looks like one of her late 80s wigs. I hope she gave it a good airing first.
