Life oh life
I forgot about What's Your Sign! BANGOH.
Doo doo doo doooo
I love Des’ree. Bloody gays never let me like anything unless I say it’s ironic
To be fair you can be as IRONIC as you ALL WISH, but she had SOME decent songs. Impromptu top 5:
You Gotta Be
Feel So High
Although the well is pretty shallow beyond those. Obviously Life and What's Your Sign, but they go BEYOND PARODY.
Feel So High was GRAND. The rest LESS SO
I quick BROWSE through her back catalogue shows she includes Feel So High on THREE ALBUMS.
Where Des'ree leads, Britney follows.
Feel So High is a bit MUMBLY for me
EXACTLY this. I bought "Feel So High" the first time around because it was so good but then nothing beyond that.
"Life" is fucking APPALLING and "You Gotta Be" had any life drained out of it by the time of its fourteenth release.
IS THIS REAL??
She's the undisputed queen of supermarket anthems.
Des'ree forum plz
Oh HOLD ON, I love "Delicate" too, but that's more TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY than her...
The outro does have these pretty perfect Des'ree lyrics:
I believe in you, every day, every day,
I believe in you, every way, every way,
I believe in you, yes I do, yes I do,
I believe, I believe in you
Ivor Novello is shaking in his coffin.
I hate the outro of Hey Jude. Just nananananana for 4 minutes
I love Des'ree by the way.
The second single better be a club banger
She's double pregnant!
I am ONE track in to the album and say far it's giving me LIFE OH LIFE OH LIFE OH LIFE DOO DOO DOO DOO
Well that album cover is quite a looker.
What the fuck IS it? An electric heart? A metallic slug? The remnants of Des'ree's career?
The album is really dull.
I quite like 'Nothing I Can Do'. That's it.
Has she done any promo for this whatsoever?
“You Gotta Be” is the promo.
She'd rather have piece of toast than sell her soul to BBC breakfast for promo
Although she'd quite happily watch the evening news.
Michael Ball is also the promo.
The album's actually really lovely. Nothing groundbreaking OBVIOUSLY but a very pleasant listen.
I didn't hear any massive lyrical bombs although there's something about Year 9 poetry homework about:
Rhyming 'out' with 'out' a particular triumph
I think Year 9 is pushing it
Maybe age 9
