I honestly can't believe it's taken me 31 years to watch this wonderful film. It's possibly the most out and out FUN musical I've ever seen.

Julie Andrews is utterly adorable, Mary Tyler Moore is gorgeous, James Fox's energy is incredible and Carol Channing is just BEYOND :disco: in one of the campest roles I've ever seen.

    PS: RASPBERRIES! :disco:

Mrs Meers is one of the best villains in movie musical history.

    And so racially aware.

Mrs Meers is wonderful. I love that she was played by ANITA DOBSON and LESLEY JOSEPH in the UK stage production.

Oh, from start to finish, it's one of the most feel-good films I have ever seen. I wish Ms. Channing had got more screen roles, and won that Oscar.

I wish it would come out on Bluray. I used to watch this along with Funny Girl and Hello, Dolly so much when I was a kid. NO WONDER my mom was not surprised when I came out to her when I was 14.
