Well, my office idyll has been shattered and someone is now using the desk beside me. At least she only works three days a week so I don't have to sociable Monday to Wednesday.

I am concerned about the number of times I need to wee in a day so today I am keeping an official tally. I drink a fair amount of water, but I seriously can't even have a sip without needing to then go. Psychosomatic? Watch this space!

Not sure whether it works the same in men but my mum was told by the doctor that she needed to start holding her pee for longer. Apparently if you feel a slight urge and go straight away it weakens your bladder muscles and means you're less able to hold it as time goes on so you pee more frequently. Train your bladder Suomi!

This would make sense for me because I am a total pushover when it comes to my bladder. Thanks floppet, I am going to the doctor now to find out more!

This is true - I was warned about this after my surgery, what with them hacking a good chunk of the ol' urethra and the area being generally swollen and traumatised.

Nobody's posting so now I look like a right chatterbox but I peed in a cup at the bequest of a lovely Irish doctor. She immediately ruled out kidney problems, abnormal cells and UTI. Diabetes didn't show up but it should end suggested I go for a blood test, and look at bladder training at patient.co.uk (for gods sake don't visit any of those American sites she exclaimed, and I nodded)

Just don't drink so much WATER is my GOOD ADVICE. Mr S seems to drink a glass of water about every 10 minutes and wonders why he has to RUN ALL THE WAY HOME FROM TOWN to have a WEE.

I started reading Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf whilst in the waiting room. Of course it's always been my dream to star as Virginia herself in a local theatre production of The Hours so it feels good to be doing my homework should the Fountain Lakes players come to Croydon.

I've rolled my cigarettes, written Mrs Dalloway...

Most days I'll go for a pee when I get out of bed in the morning and won't go again until I get home from work. I can hold it for hours and hours, always have been able to.

I drink a lot during the day - once I've "broken the seal", it's all go.

My bladder is pretty diabolical. I could blame it on having two large babies ( my daughter weighed 9 lb 7 oz, and my son 10 lb 3 oz) but it really wasn’t ALL THAT beforehand. :(

I think I easily drink 4 litres of water a day, so that really doesn’t help matters. Keeps my skin looking lovely though so swings and roundabouts.

Are you? Oh DEAR. We're doing this and then some cider pubs afterwards and Saturday. The Apple, the Stable and the Orchard Inn are on the list and then we'll see if we can be arsed to go up to Clifton.

That's going to be AMAZING considering there's a warning in place between 8am and 10pm :D

I have very fond memories of The Apple. The Stable doesn't look like my kind of place, but The Orchard is great - a really unpretentious old fashioned pub.

When I moved into my temporary office I took a load of stuff home that I thought I wouldn't need, but I realised there were a couple of things I was missing: my jotter containing* my LIST OF GRIEVANCES and my ENORMOUS PAIR OF SCISSORS. These two things AREN'T NECESSARILY RELATED :D

    *amongst many other things
