In the wake of Justin Bieber's odd rebirth as apparently socially acceptable and their hiatus, is it possible to salvage any of the 1D LADZ' oeuvre as permissible pieces of pop music, or am I just being a ten year old?

And Neil, Zayn, Liam, Louis, Harry in that order. Why not share your barely legal fantasies in this thread?

    What Makes You Beautiful
Gotta Be You (I have utterly no recollection of this)
    One Thing
    Live While We're Young
    Little Things
    Kiss You
One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)
    Best Song Ever
    Story of My Life
Midnight Memories (drawing a blank here)
    You & I
    Steal My Girl
    Night Changes
    Drag Me Down
    Perfect

I quite liked "Perfect". But I still regret not voting for "ALL SHIT" mostly just because...well because they're all shit.

Not one decent single which is quite astonishing really. Even The Wanted managed more max tracks.

Voted for the ones I would at least vaguely recognise without prompting. They really stopped even trying after 'Story of my Life'.

I voted for a few on the basis they are tolerable... but none of them are more than 7/10 or 8 at a push.

I don't find them intolerable, just very formulaic and unmemorable. When they come on the radio I can just leave it on but not listen.
Intolerable would be Pitbull or FloRida or Will.I.Am. THEIR music is actually painful. When they come on the radio, I wanna destroy all living things.

I really like their most recent output. The last 3 singles are all fine.

I'm voting ALL SHIT based on the one or two songs I've heard.

You know, I would actually take all the ballads (bar Gotta Be You) and Steal My Girl.

    Night Changes

    You and I
    Little Things
    Story Of My Life

    Steal My Girl
    Perfect
    Best Song Ever

And then the rest is all generally the same level of rubbish.

Wasn't More Than This officially a single? Now that's a TUNE.

What a feeling (from the new album) is one of the loveliest pop songs of recent years... Very 80s and no sadly it's not a flash dance cover! But almost as good

Drag Me Down and Fireproof are the only 1D tracks that I come close to loving.

That's What Makes You Beautiful and Kiss You were max tracks with gargantuan hooks that any pop act would've killed for (ditto Perfect, but I think Taylor already *did* kill for that). I'd happily never hear the rest again.

Many of their songs are fine in a 6/10 way. Their recent singles have been solid 7's, though.
