Slightly unfortunate title maybe, but this is a classy little number. Still mumbling and cooing away on the outro.

Also this comeback has reminded me of the glory that is Yesterday (solo version thank you, and OVER SEVEN YEARS OLD) which is a very good thing.

the song is fine but it's just hard to get excited about it all.

The duets album with Babyface was surprisingly good.

This is great and the man in the video... Hello.

    I properly love this now.

The video is OK. The handsome gentleman certainly features very prominently but the bits of Toni in colour in the frilly ensemble don't seem to fit.

I really like Deadwood, though it doesn't feel like a classic Toni single, more a top tier album track. Given that I love a lot of the latter where she's concerned, that's more than fine with me.

Even though I love a bit of Toni B, I gave this a miss at the time. Giving it a listen now though, and you're right, it's really good!

The idea didn't appeal to me at all, but I thought I'd give it a go and was pleasantly surprised! It's got some really good throwback stuff that reminds me of her first album.

This is great, it feels very familiar and she sounds wonderful. Could do with it maybe cutting off before that guitar starts doing a bit much at the end.

Is she still insolvent? Never warmed to this particular diva though He Wasn't Man Enough and Hit The Freeway were fantastic, although largely not due to her.

Apparently it’s listed as a pre-order with only 8 tracks :bruised: none of which is the En Vogue one :oi:

so long as i live has a video. and where to start?

some hot pussy grabbing action, cameos from two sisters (hey tamar) and i see her transition to the asian race is coming along nicely. just really classy all around.

sidebar: can anyone hear the final line properly? i think she changes up the lyric but i can't hear it well - if you can't be with the one you really trully totally love, do the two step with dot dot dot?

    @ameraal The one you’re with?
Maybe I just thought that because that’s the usual phrase (ish)

yes, that's what it is. you can hear it more clearly earlier on. is that a saying? never heard it before.
it's also a bit depressing though no more than my take on it, i.e. stay single and miserable.

"If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with" is a well known saying/song

I've ordered the CD album :o

What a bizarre video. The dancing seems completely out of sorts with the track.

The blonde backing dancer is my favourite extra of 2018 so far. :D

Long As I Live really is a fantastic song.

The album isn't quite as good but it has grown on me throughout the week - she sounds great on Coping, and kind of reminds me of one of the poppier songs from Janet’s last album.

Amazing! I didn't even realise it was Beyonce dressed up to start with and I thought she was just throwing shade at Toni calling her a Phoney. :D
