    Good morning y'all

I'm more of a trance fan than a trans fan to be honest.

    Morning!

Back to work today after a fortnight off. I'm sure I'll spend the next three days dealing with whatever the others couldn't be arsed with so left piled on my desk. :(

I wish we had bank holidays or any sort of holidays but at least it's Tuesday and there are two days left in the week.

And try and make yourself look half decent when he comes in, he hasn't been slogging it out at work all day to come home and be greeted by a TROLLOP.

Boost the economy and help the poor by outsourcing the menial jobs you hate by getting immigrants to do them.

In other news I've discovered that my boyfriend is almost about to have all the utilities cut off as he hasn't been able to pay the bill. I was sympathetic yesterday after the police. Today I'm just £150 down.

Oh dear. How can someone get to the stage where they're about to be cut off? Doesn't it take a couple of months at least? If you contact them to sort out a payment plan it never gets to that stage.

DD bounced. They're a shit utility company. No warnings. Mobile just stopped today. He has everything with one company which is never ideal. This is turning into harder work that I expected. And worse he knew it would be.

Thankfully he's got you to sort stuff out for him then. What's happened re the arrest? Will he have to go to court?

Don't know yet. It's weird seeing the shit that would normally happen to me happen to someone else. As I say I'm trying to sort it patiently, but today's news pushed me from sympathetic to a little aggrieved. But I can't show that to him this evening, he's stressed enough already.

My brother used to just apply to a new company in a new name when he'd run up a massive bill.

Yeah I didn't have my own place at 25. I've never had my OWN place. It's hard to make that jump from care free early 20something queen to someone running a property and finances.

I lived with my parents until I was 27 apart from a year in Ibiza and 3 months with my sister, so when I bought my place it was the first time I'd had any proper bills. I never quite realised how many I had - I used to be quite happy giving my mum £200 a month for everything. Now it's around £700.

Going from unemployment benefits to full employment is financial nightmare. It's been understandably frustrating for him.

Not at all. You have to pay for everything. Only get paid once a month and owes a load of overpaid benefits. It's fucking shit.

Is he sure he has to pay the overpayment back? Some overpayments aren't actually recoverable, but the jobcentre will ask for them back anyway; they just can't enforce it if the person chooses not to pay it. It all depends on why he was overpaid.

I don't really know enough about it to advise further (I know they have tightened up on it since my day), but it's probably worth checking the letter he had telling him he had been overpaid. It should make it clear in that, if you read the small print, as it were.

That's all been paid now. Now it's back payments due on the flat due to the fact housing benefits failed to cover what they said it would recover.
