Hopefully Dalton will rise as we go further through the week. It’s number 1 on iTunes, but yes I know that practically means nothing these days.

All that I know about them is that their last album had an even worse title than this one. I'm astonished that they are capable of selling that many albums over a weekend.

Here are their two greatest triumphs Kala.

    you're welcome.

I don't think the new album is as good although it's getting universal raves

It's bound to rise, surely. The midweeks show sales from Friday, whereas he was only available from Sunday evening, so everyone else has a huge head start on him. That's going to narrow as the week progresses.

It looks like his sales lead is starting to reduce now, but he's still outselling #2 by more than 4 to 1. I imagine he'll possibly be #1 on sales for the week. It's just a question of how far streaming knocks him back.

Is Marina now such chart poison that she's actively taking down anyone who collaborates with her too?

It’s better than I’d expected as I started from 200 up to search for it so wasn’t all that optimistic

I don't think Clean Bandit's last album charted well either.

Although the album has a lot of huge hits, a lot of them are also old news and stale buns. They don't really have much of an audience, as bizarre as that seems; they're a song by song band and, given that the guest is always the vocalist, it's no wonder they can all-but flop with one song and hit hard with another.

Oh, and I know someone who is obsessed with The 1975. They inspire very emo-esque fandom.

Yeah as much as I adore quite a lot of Clean Bandit's output - they still seem like a Spotify by track kind of act.

Are the 1975 the ones with Colleen Nolan's son?

I think I've only ever heard a handful of their songs, and quite liked them, but never enough to investigate further.

I do quite like the advertising billboards for this album.

Was that an Xfactor band? The sort of “get your tits out in Attitude when you came 8th and that debut single is a struggle” band?

They had a UK number one in 2014. I don't remember it at all.

    @Rita

This year's X Factor champion Dalton Harris is powering up this week's Official Singles Chart with his winner's single The Power of Love.

The cover of the 1984 hit by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, which features James Arthur, climbs to Number 4 in today's sales flash (Dec 4), up 19 places from yesterday's Official Chart Update.

Harris fought off competition from fellow finalists Scarlett Lee and Anthony Russell to be crowned the winner of this year's series.

The Power of Love could match the chart success of the 2017 winner's single, Dimelo by Rak-Su, which reached Number 2. Can Harris go one better and claim this year's Christmas Number 1? Check out this year's contenders list.

2016 champion Matt Terry peaked at Number 3 with his winner's track When Christmas Comes Around. The last X Factor winner to reach Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart was Ben Haenow in 2014 with Something I Need.

Find out where Harris places on this week's Official Singles Chart here on OfficialCharts.com this Friday at 5.45pm (Dec 7). Follow the Top 40 live on Radio 1 from 4pm. Check out the latest Top 100 here.

That’s exactly it surely. And to an extent Rita Ora as well - I can’t imagine anyone GAGGING for a Clean Bandit album when there’s always another single just around the corner.

How many tracks have to be streamed to count as an album sale?

I suppose I would see a Clean Bandit album more as a compilation album rather than an artist album.
