I thought you sent me a PM yesterday calling a truce. If you're going to be a little cunt I can be too.
The death of the three British Asian (Muslim) men in Birmingham as a consequence of these riots is pretty devastating. I just hope that there are no reprisals, because the last thing we need is for this to take a RACE-BASED DIMENSION.
Aren't all Muslims just TOO HUNGRY? I guess after dark, after dinner and once they've let their food settle, all those lovely British hating British Muslims might come out to play with all the black and white boys (and girls).
These retards advocating withdrawal of benefits for convicted looters are getting my goat now. YEAH LOL GENIUS!!! That will definitely stop them stealing again! JESUS WEPT
Yeah, generally we're too hungry from 3pm - 9pm. But if the Muslim/asian community in Bham becomes especially angry about the death of these three men, then SHIT'S GONNA GO DOWN i.e. violence against the rioters etc.
were the 3 men in Birmingham purposely targeted by rioters or just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Either way it probably doesn't matter - it'll turn into some sort of turf war regardless.
They were guarding asian businesses and places of worship. Apparently a car of rioters deliberately mounted the pavement and ran them over.
They were trying to protect their home from being vandalised and were run over in front of it. At least from what I've read. I guess investigations are still pending.
"West Midlands Police Chief Constable Chris Sims said [...] He has been arrested for murder because the information that we have at the moment would support the idea the car was deliberately driven."
sick fucks. if they were in a car, they'll get caught. I hope they never see the outside world for the rest of their lives.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! I'm finding the whole thing so fucking frustrating. I am so proud to be British and now the country is in the fucking shit.
What do we think about this? <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/i1b74BdPfSQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> (Sorry if it's OLD NEWS)
I don't even know why! Just am... I guess it was built in me from an early age to be, in the same way as it is in most countries and I don't really know why at all. (maybe it's the same as religion - so many people are brought up Christians and don't question it... Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, whatever - if their parents are then most people just say 'yes I'm a ______' and it's proven that most people just stick with that religion and are proud of their heritage?)
what had those boys done? they could've just handcuffed him, no need in kicking someone who's already on the ground either way, I don't get why your police are seemingly walking on eggshells. Danish police would've thrown teargas within two minutes
They're walking on eggshells because there have been so many prosecutions over the last few years when they've used excessive force at other riots. We really are in a fucking shit position at the moment. I didn't like those scenes there with the riot police at all though. Too much and it seems to be unnecessary. There were far more officers than there were 'rioters'. They just needed to cuff them and lock em up... then deal with whatever they'd done in the correct manner.
I don't believe in the police using violence in most situations, but they've got SHIT ALL to work with other than brute force. They also need to protect themselves, and a good way of doing that is to disarm the yobs with a punch or a kick. Let's face it, it's easy to NOT get kicked by a policeman... DON'T go out rioting. Simple.
I think the worst thing at the moment would be for people to try and whip up a storm over what the police should and shouldn't be doing. I'm not saying that they should be kicking the shit out of everyone on the streets, but in this context, if anyone even gets a WHIFF of hesitation or anxiety from the police over what they can and can't do, they'll take advantage of it. And I agree with RobotBoy, anyone who even puts themselves IN that situation given the current context, is really a bit SILLY.
the problem is doing it 3 days late - the police have all this pent up frustration, so to let them off the leash now means they lash out and don't know who they are targetting - how do you know who's a yob/looter and who's just innocently walking/riding home? This is what leads to innocent people being attacked by police, and we're back to square one As Mats said, if they'd have quashed this at the start with teargas against the actual people starting the uprising, we would possibly have never reached this stage. You show people that they can get away with it, that's all the incentive they need to spread the word around. Britain backwards in going forwards, AS PER.
